Resurrecting a Jazz Bass corpse

This neck had seen better days. At least it's straight and the fingerboard is good.

Fingerboard bandaged up and frets are carefully levered out with a sharp chisel.

The naked neck and body. The nut and metal tuner bushings are CAREFULLY hammered out with a screwdriver, while supporting the back of the headstock.

The fret slots don't go till the edge of the fingerboard

Reno with recycled materials

Lots of perfectly good material is wasted during demolition and renovation.
Wood from built ins, iron from grilles etc.
Quite a bit of this can be re-used to minimise impact on the environment.

I plan to recycle the iron grilles at my house into fencing.
