Honor’s 7X Is A Seriously Good

They may be a little late to the party but honor‘s take on the mid-range “Full View” smartphone has finally been launched in Malaysia. It’s called the honor 7X and it’s got a really solid price tag.

honor’s new handset will retail for RM1,099 and will go on sale in Malaysia from the 22nd of December onwards. However, if you want to pick this handset up for a discount, honor Malaysia will be having a flash sale on Vmall and Lazada where they’ll be retailing the honor 7X for just RM999. This flash sale will take place on the 18th of December 2017 from 3pm to 4pm.

To refresh your memory, the honor 7X features a 5.93″ 18:9 aspect ratio display with minimal bezels pushing a Full HD resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Inside its metal unibody is a Kirin 659 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (further expandable via microSD). There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back while a 3,340 mAh battery keeps the lights on. Unfortunately, it charges via micro USB.

For photos, you get a dual camera setup at the back featuring a 16MP+2MP camera combo. For selfies, you get an 8MP shooter in front that’s also capable of “bokeh” photos.

Samsung Malaysia releases the Galaxy S8 and Note8 in Pink

Looking for a different shade of colour for your new Samsung Galaxy flagship? You can now get the latest Galaxy S8 and
Note8 series in Soft Pink in Malaysia.

If that’s not enough, Samsung Malaysia is also bundling a free Pink Alcantara Cover with the Rose Pink/Soft Pink editions of
the Galaxy S8/S8+ or Note8. Both are available now online and at authorised Samsung outlets.

The Galaxy S8/S8+ are officially priced at RM3,299 and RM3,699 respectively, while the Galaxy Note8 is going for RM3,999.
Of course, you could search for a lower offer through several online retailers.

Malaysia’s first Samsung Galaxy Studio

Malaysia’s first Samsung Galaxy Studio pops up in Bukit Bintang

Samsung‘s just opened their Galaxy Studio in Bukit Bintang, giving fans a chance to test out their latest and greatest gear.

Set in Jalan Bukit Bintang, the pop-up location will only be running for three months but offers one of the few opportunities for visitors and fans alike to try out their gadgets to their heart’s content.
Among the devices that will be available for testing are the Gear VR with Controller and the new Gear 360, alongside the freshly launched Galaxy Note8. The yet to be launched Gear Sport and new
IconX is on display as well.

Aside from trying your hand at Samsung’s various smartphones, you will also get to play around with an interactive smart table that recognises the Note8 and demonstrates its main features as well
as the Liquid Canvas experience that lets visitors take selfies in ink, oil or liquid dye as the Note8 is moved over a “Liquid Canvas”.

If you are planning to visit, you’ll also get to try a unique 360 Snow Globe booth that can only be experienced at select Galaxy Studios worldwide, that is filled with artificial snow. Just step into the
globe and the Gear 360 will capture the experience. Last but not least, you’ll be able to enjoy a Galactic space battle via their 4D Sway chair with the Gear VR and a Galaxy Fitness station to try out
the Gear Fit2 Pro.

Previously, Samsung has opened up similar experience zones in locations like the Westfield Parramatta in Sydney, Stockholm Central Station, the Dubai Mall and Hong Kong’s Excelsior Plaza.

The Galaxy Studio, that is located in front of Lot 10, is open to all and is absolutely free to enter. It is open from 27th of October 2017 until the 31st of January 2018, and those who purchase the
Galaxy Note8 at the Galaxy Studio will receive a free Gear VR.

RM899 only for a Xiaomi Mi A1

You can buy the Xiaomi Mi A1 for less than RM900 in Malaysia

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is one of the best value for money smartphones that runs on stock Android. Retailing at RM1,099, it even comes with a dual-camera
lens with 2X Optical Zoom. If you’re looking for a bargain, the official Mi Malaysia set is now going for RM200 less.

Several retailers are selling the Xiaomi Mi A1 for only RM899. So far it looks like the Mi A1 is available only in Black at the moment. To recap on the specs,
the Mi A1 comes with a 5.5″ Full HD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.

The Mi A1 has two 12MP cameras at the rear while the front comes with an 5MP selfie camera. Powering the device is a 3,080mAh battery which charges via USB Type-C.
