EP Application Ban on Outsourcing Companies

Hi all,

Has anyone heard about this?

https://www.thestar.com.my/opinion/letters/...vice-providers/

I have read about the gov wanting abolish categories 2 and 3 Employment Passes but this news is different.

It says that HR companies are no longer able to apply for EPs. If this is true, it can be terrible news as most companies who intend on opening in a new country, will first go through one of these payroll and HR Services Providers for the first year or so before setting up legal entity of their own company.

It would be great if anyone can shed some light on this.
