Got into an accident in a parking lot

Hi, I was involved in an accident in a parking lot where the boom gate came down and crashed on my car while i was exiting the gantry after having paid for parking.

The parking management has insurance but it only covers the cost of repair to the car.

However it does not include consequential damage coverage such as loss in vehicle value as the vehicle is now deemed involved in an accident. Police report has also been made.

Looking to see if anyone knows of car valuers of 2nd hand car dealers who are able to perform car valuation before and after accident?

Isolator vs switch setup

Hi, I would like to get opinion from any experts / engineers / electricians.

I currently have a 5HP air cond in my gym / studio which has an isolator, but is installed outdoors.

Was curious if it's possible to add a 45A switch between the isolator and air cond, just to cut off power when not in use.

From a wiring perspective, I am able to locate the wire coming in from the isolator before it goes to the air cond.

Hi, want to check if anyone heard of Smart Shields - Turtle coat.

Would like to get feedback if anyone has done PPF + coating with them.

Currently their SUV package is around 6k which includes full front PPF + ceramic coating (mid range) + window tint (TSER ~60%)

Question on Tenda Mesh eco system

Hi sifu's.

My unifi speed was recently upgraded to 300mpbs from 100 mbps.

Unfortunately my existing setup below is unable to capture the full potential of the speed.

Existing setup for a double storey terrace house;

Main router (connected to Unifi modem) is a Tenda TX2 pro.
TX2 pro has wired connection to primary Tenda MW3 mesh node, transmitting data to 2 other nodes in the house.
All wifi devices in the house will connect to the Tenda MW3 mesh network

Limitation of existing setup: MW3 unfortunately only has a 100mb WAN/LAN port, hence the input to my mesh network is capped at 100 mbps.

Would like to get some suggestions from sifu's here on the most economical way to update my network configuration. I was thinking of 2 options below;

Option 1) Buy 1 MW6 node attach it to TX2 via wired connection (replacing the primary MW3 node), can the remaining MW3 nodes now enjoy the higher speeds as I read reviews that MW3, MW5 and MW6 are all cross compatible

Option 2) Purchase 1 more unit of Tenda TX2 pro to act as a mesh.

Does anybody have experience doing this as well or a more optimized and economical solution?

Hi Sifu's,

Just wanted to check if anyone is familiar with the estimated cost for hiring a contractor in JB area to perform a few things;

1) Bathroom / kitchen ventilation fan - 3 units with installation (~12 inch)
2) 2 glass shower panel / doors (~22 inch x 72 inch)
3) Kitchen counter with sink - 150 cm (L) * 42 cm (W) * 100 cm (H)

Also appreciate any contacts for contractors as well.

Transfer E-sim to new Iphone

I just wanted to check if anyone has had experience with changing maxis e sim from one iphone to another iphone?

I saw Apple has the option of transferring E-sim when setting up new device but not sure if this is applicable for users using Hotlink Postpaid Flex. Anyone has experience with this?

Additionally, if i happen to be overseas (Singapore), would this be possible?

GE Internship (Finance) vs Big 4

Hi I am a fresh graduate and currently contemplating if I should go for an internship first with a commercial company vs going full time with a big 4 audit firm.

Reason i am contemplating this is because the GE FMP program seems to be a really good opportunity as the pay is competitive and there is opportunity for overeas assignments.

Apple Iphone X replacement

Hi there,

Would like to get some advice on a faulty iphone x which needs to be swapped out for a new unit.

I am currently overseas and will be returning to Malaysia (KL) in a few weeks.

Need some advice if there is any apple store in Malaysia which will be able to perform a one for one replacement of the iphone x.

I've raised a service ticket with Apple in the US but they mentioned that they can only help me perform the swap in Malaysia which is where i originally bought the phone. Would machines in Malaysia support replacements?

Seeking any advice from anyone who has experienced this.
