WD My Book Essential 1TB missing partition

I bought the WD My Book Essential 1TB 4 days ago and what I did was follow the manual and plug and play.
There will be 2 partition when I finished installing the driver -
WD Smartware (~500MB) & Available HDD Space (~960GB)

What I did first was open up that available 960GB location and formated it (with NTSF).

Then I started transferring "god knows how much data" (around 30-40GB) to the external and I started downloading torrents and located them directly into the My Book and after 12 hours of leaving my comp on, my torrent started giving me errors that "check sum missing" or "the file is not located at this folder"... and my CPU hung.

So I had to reboot it and after rebooting that particular drive was missing and I've never ever seen that drive anymore and I've googled and I've tried all sorts of things (even tried testdisk and it can detect 999GB/930GB). The WD Smartware drive (virtual drive) was still there and has always been there.

Please help.

How to clean your sim card data?

Like you have some stored SMS and tons of old contacts in your simcard, how do you delete them and transfer address book from phone to Sim?

and I did an "Import Sim Contact" by accidental and there were so many duplicate names but with different phone number... is it the only way to clear them unwanted from your address book is manually delete them?
