passing array of object to a method

refer to above code,the class "square"(without the "input" method) and class "test" is given,i am required to code the "input" method that read the the length....

everything in the class test is given and no modification allowed

in the "input" method that i code,the code can compile successfully,but when i run the program once i input the 1st "length" the program terminate with this message

" exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerexception
at square.input<test.java:12>
at test.main<test.java:26> "

what is the problem with the above code?can help me correct the above code?

laptop cant connect when another pc is connected

yesterday noon,out of a sudden my msn couldnt connect to the internet,but i can still browse website normally though with a much slower speed...after trying some solution i get from googling,things getting worse i cant hardly have a webpage loaded after that...

my laptop and my bro pc is connnected to a router modem,and both can go online without any prob until yesterday(mentioned above)..,after that i realize that my laptop can go online normally when my bro pc is not connected to router.when the pc connect to internet then my laptop no longer can online...also i noticed an internet gateway thingy in my bro pc,i wonder if that would have cause the problem or what...

so what might be the problem here?how to troubleshoot and fix it?and how to disable the internet gateway...my laptop is running vista while my bro pc is on XP,there arent any problem until yesterday

laptop crash wif blue screen

2days ago while playing supreme commander it juz crash with blue screen stating that my hardware or software/system file might have error and need to be restarted.after restart it will continue randomly crash with blue screen during the booting process or inside the windoe..the i dunno wat to do and leave it until the nex day,nex day everything seems ok but then on the third day it crash again.i suspect something might have gone wrong with my hardware part coz even when entering safe mode also it will crash...and i attempt to formatt but still it crash when i try to install window.i cant do anything now....cant boot into window cant reformat it it juz display bluescreen...

what should i do?

MMU or UTM

i got an offer for computer science(graphic and multimedia software) in UTM.the course isnt my 1st choice,i wish to do a software engineering,but still computer science(graphic and multimedia software) isnt a bad course to take.

now either i accept the UTM offer or go for software engineering in MMU

so which university is better to do a IT course without taking the course fees into consideration?

i need to pay 40k if i wanna study MMU where else i only need to pay 4k to study in UTM,its 10times the difference.so if i am taking MMU i have to take a loan to study.would it be a burden to pay the 40k loan after graduate?

should i choose to pay 40k for what i want or pay only 4k for what i prefer less?

any UTM student here preferably IT student,what you think about UTM,the lecturer the environment the facility?

a few of my friends actually prefer MMU more then the local U they are offered(the course they get for ipta isnt exactly what they want but still consider not bad) but when taking the fees into consideration some of them will go for the less preferred ipta because its cheaper.
