EPF Withdrawal Question

I just got my SNP stamped today and will be heading down to EPF to request for a joint withdrawal from Account 2. (wife and i) This is my first property and withdrawal.

My property price is RM530K and loan amount is RM477K BUT the bank has included in MRTA into the loan, hence to total amount now inclusive of MRTA is RM523,517.

My question would be: Will EPF include the MRTA amount as part of the total "home loan"?

I am praying this is not the case, as i think that the appropriate way is to take RM477K as my loan amount instead of including in the insurance.

Hope those that have withdrawn from EPF can confirm if MRTA is calculated in the formula and if so, are we allowed not to take this option.

Difference Between same vs separate lawyers

I am in the midst of purchasing my first home.

I have engaged a lawyer for my SPA.

I am in the midst of deciding if i should ask the same lawyer to do my legal loan part.

What are the pros and cons of using the same lawyer do both of the above vs just letting the bank assigning their own lawyer to do up the loan bit?
