So, today I buy Texas in Indonesia for Rp 25.000 after discount but then the driver tell me that the real price is more expensive by 2k. I say no problem, just buy. When the driver arrive at home, the driver ask to be paid the extra via Grab. I say ok, how should I do it via my phone?? The driver says no need, she can change it from her phone. I was a little dumbfounded but when I check it from history, it is true that the price has changed. What surprised me is that the driver can change the price without the apps asking for my permission. Isn't this a bad apps design? What if the driver do small fraud? Should I check my balance and history carefully now??

It begins around 4 months ago. I have purchased from 1688.com (the Chinese language domestic version of Alibaba) several times. The purchase from 1688 is okay. There are several items missing but it is still within acceptable means.

At that time, I decide to try to use shipping companies with Gold Badge and 4 Year supplier in Alibaba.com instead of my usual shipping companies. I decide to use their freight of 1 CBM of goods to BATAM, Indonesia for $50. The shipping company tells me that the price for destination warehousing from my several suppliers are free. At that time, I just realize that even though BATAM is a Free Trade Zone, I still need documentation to import goods. So I go to handle my documentation. I thought to myself that it is okay, the warehousing is free. 2-3 weeks later, the documents are ready and I say to them that they can ship the goods. They says to me that there is already no more ships to BATAM. I reply to them it is okay since I am also kind of in fault for delaying. I am okay with paying some warehousing money and they can just send the goods to my usual freight forwarder. They say it is okay. Now here comes the surprise. They tell me the cost for this Free Warehousing is $1000. Please try to compare this to the agreed fee of original fee of $50 (that already include shipping fee). I protested that to Alibaba. Alibaba says to me that I should work it out with the shipping company. So I tell to the company that I am willing to wait until their next ship to arrive.

Now the shipping company says if I do not pay them the warehouse fee (that keeps on increasing for every passing days) by the Chinese New Year, they will seize my goods. Again I complain to Alibaba. But Alibaba says I should pay the warehouse fee. This is despite I never agree to be charged of warehouse fee in the first place, only the original $50.

Alibaba completely treat me like shit, never have intention to look from my side. I have heard several scam stories about Alibaba in the Internet. All this time I thought they are all fake stories since Alibaba is such a big brand. Until this happens to me. They do not do anything at all for my report. Not a single punishment for the shipping company. They totally side with the scammers.
Now I know that for Alibaba, I am not a customers. I am a product because Alibaba earn money from fake suppliers (instead of me) that are usually trading companies. All those gold Badge are nothing but simply signify that they pay money to Alibaba
