Both making too many big promises getting into power. Now in government either find it hard to fulfill or no money to fulfill.

In Malaysia, many people complaining about broken promises.

In Indonesia, foreigner capitals just left because there is no money to fulfill wonderful promises
Quote by a famous Chinese. Yet I think 95% of the Chinese don't understand what it REALLY means. Strange. Are they really Chinese?

I thought BN was rather incompetent and have high hope things will improve, especially with DAP Anthony in charge. But with many other empty promises, I was disappointed nothing much has changed. They only seem to talk better but can't deliver.

Malaysia Nuclear plant - why the double standard?

When Lynas was set up in 2012, DAP was very vocal protesting against it and called it a nuclear plant. Even threatening to burn it down (is it still standing?) That makes Malaysia a laughing stock because Lynas is not a nuclear plant, just a metal extraction operation. And even PAS scientist saying they are lying.

Now their own government may want to set up a REAL nuclear plant, why the complete silent from DAP?

Is this double standard or are they totally ignorant of science? Which is it?

Will Anwar work with UMNO or PAS in next election?

Here are 2 indisputable facts.

1. In Malaysia, Malay is the majority and whoever have their votes get to be the next PM.
2. To the Malay, there will ONLY be 2 parties to vote for, UMNO and PAS. The rest like Amanah or whoever are just mosquito parties making noise

So will Anwar go with UMNO or PAS?

It was PH who opened the floodgates for Islamist.

Quote:

Ironically for a man who has long portrayed himself to global media as a reformer, it was Anwar’s own entry into Malaysian politics that helped lay the foundations for the Islamization of Malaysia. Seeking to compete with the Islamist-leaning opposition party Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (Islamic Party of Malaysia or PAS) for Malay votes, in 1982 then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad invited Anwar, then an Islamist student activist, to join the ruling UMNO government to bolster its own Islamic credentials. Notwithstanding their later falling out in the aftermath of the Asian financial crisis, Anwar’s legacy was to open the floodgates for Islamist activists to entrench themselves within Malaysia’s institutions of power.

PAS says PH is spining nonsense

I see people are bashing PAS so I decided to check out their records as to how bad they are. Surprise. Surprise. Apparently they know far more about science than PKR. They actually saying PKR is talking nonsense.

In the news segment, Che Rosli had said: “The ones that have raised this issue is PKR… but it is unfair. Is Lynas a nuclear plant? They spin. I was ashamed. I am a PAS member too. So I made the decision as a nuclear scientist to come today. They can say whatever they want.

“These allegations are unscientific and not academic at all. The public does not need to be afraid. They can go themselves and see in the Lynas plant, what will be built and the facilities it will have to protect the safety of its workers and also the general public.”

PAS seems to know more about economy than PH. So may be should give PAS a chance to be the next government? Couldn't be worst, right?

Quote:
“PAS believes efforts to strengthen Bumiputera ownership should be carried out through credible, stable and competitive policies, not vague and rushed measures that could weaken market confidence and reduce the value of strategic assets,” said Takiyuddin in a statement.

PMX implement the 50% equity rule and 95% of the Chinese support PMX. Yet when Najib ABOLISH the 30% rule, 95% of the Chinese rejected Najib.
1MDB. Where were the regulatorm Bank Negara?

Looks like I am not the only one finding it strange......how come nobody want to call Zeti for the answers? To make it even more strange, Singapore said some of those money was in her husband's account.

1MDB, Bank Negara Malaysia, and the silence that still demands answers
In such a scandal, political culpability is only one part of the story. The other – and still largely unexamined – question is this: where were the regulators?

At the centre of that question stands Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

BNM is not a passive observer of financial misconduct. It regulates banks, enforces anti-money-laundering laws, receives suspicious transaction reports, and is tasked with monitoring transactions involving politically exposed persons. Even parents transferring a few thousand ringgit to their children studying abroad have to account to BNM.

The extraordinary debt, opaque guarantees, and vast cross-border fund movements associated with 1MDB were precisely the kind of activity that should have set off alarm bells. Yet for years, those bells appeared muted.

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...demands-answers
