Good day guys. I am going to further my studies in Mechanical Engineering in a few months time.

What is your feedback on the local Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course at Nottingham University Malaysia,4years programme?

a.) Are the lecturers :
- Academically strong in the topics that they teach? (unsatisfactory/
moderate / excellent )
- Are they from Engineering backgrounds? (Yes / No)
- Do they have Engineering PhDs with them? ( Yes / No)
- Did they spark the interest of Engineering in you? (unsatisfactory/
moderate / excellent )

b.) Are the Mechanical Engineering students competitive? {eg are they driven
towards engineering or they just come to class then go back type,
especially for group projects, are they really interested in building things or
just leave one competitive guy to do everything- generally speaking.
Because surely always there will be a few students like that} ( Yes/ No)

c.) Your thought on the level of hands-on experience that you get from the
academic(not extra - curriculum) modules. Is it mostly exam based
and studying about machines or do we get to see, feel and use those
machines. (unsatisfactory/ moderate / excellent )

d.) Do they have a wide variety of engineering facilities for the M.Eng
undergraduate engineers to carry out engineering related manufacturings ?
(unsatisfactory/ moderate / excellent )

e.) How will students be assessed? {eg: 50% exam, 50% continuous assessment?}

I'm offered scholarship from Taylor's Uni

Hello there , I really need a quick help , I am not strong
financially . I want to study engineering and recently , I have
managed to obtain the TAYLOR'S WORLD CLASS SCHOLARSHIP 2017 for my
foundation in engineering and bachelor in M.Eng which will cover all
my academic fees till my degree but i have also managed to obtain an
offer for foundation in mechanical engineering at Universiti Teknologi Petronas . Based on my
research and the latest QS world ranking, UTP is definitely way better
than TAYLOR'S UNIVERSITY . As a result , I am confused whether to
study at UTP or TAYLOR'S ? Will TAYLOR'S give me the right platform in
mechanical engineering ?And are there any internal scholars available
at UTP besides the ones mentioned in their webpage because i heard there
are a few ... so I am confused on how those scholars work .Please help
me . Thanks a lot .

HELLO GUYS , CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW SCHOLARSHIPS AT UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI PETRONAS WORK ? LIKE WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AS SOON AS YOU START DOING FOUNDATION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING THERE BESIDES THE ONES MENTIONED IN UTP'S OFFICIAL WEBPAGE BECAUSE I HEARD THAT THERE ARE OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE BESIDES THOSE MENTIONED IN THE WEBPAGE . I AM A NON BUMI AND WILL PROBABLY START STUDYING IN JULY . THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP .
