Hello guys, wanted to ask anyone here recenly ever got called by party so called they are from Jabatan Pertanian and offering a taklimat regards on Projek Perintis Usahawan Kurma Safawi?

Here's my story.

I got a called from number 016 219 7465 this evening and told me that I was invited to a short talk about date palm plantation (2hrs) in one of the 4 stars hotel in Kuching. Initially they said my time slot were on tomorrow Friday 530-730pm but I told them I'm working and they rearrange my time to Sunday 4-6pm. Ps. Google didn't return any info on that number too.

When I get into details on asking how do they found my details (name & address without IC), they said I previously applied for BR1M (BR1M 1.0 kena, but not the rest after that) I didn't get it so they are offering me a chance on how to make extra income and bla bla and they also said the opportunity are open for non bumi (I'm Chinese btw ) this time. They sent me a SMS after the called end that stated on my name, location of the taklimat, time slot as well as the reference number.

Long story short, it sounds like a ponzi scheme to where they will ask interested party to invest certain figure then sit back at home and wait for the ROI. But I'm still giving my benefit of doubts to their since mentioned everything clear to me. I wonder do anyone here in LYN ever encountered the same thing before?

On a side note, I feel disappointed with Malaysia government body if this is a scam scheme as they are leaking the citizen info to other parties or perhaps an insider job then.
