Work in SG & CP21

I posted this on the working in sg thread but it doenst seems like I am getting a reply anytime soon so let me ask here instead.

So the story is I got a 1 year contract job offer in SG and I handed in my resignation notice to my current company in MY.
I just received an email today from LHDN that my company filed CP22A for me. So I did some research and found that CP21 has to be filed by employer at least 30 days before my last date.

The thing is my last date in my current company is 30 April and my SG EP is still currently on pending status. So that means that I am still not 100% confirm that I will be able to start working in SG in May.

Now the question is do I need to ask my employer to file the CP21 now although its already late or should I wait for my EP to be done first?

I saw alot of people mentioning submitting CP21 is not required, and we can just continue to declare 0 income for next year. However, I also read that starting from Year 2022, foreign source income remitted into MY is taxable, so If CP21 is submitted, then means that the SG income I were to bring into MY don't have to be taxed?

What do you guys think is a suitable answer to question like why do you want to work in SG? Especially when interviewing with a MNC company that has a Malaysia branch.
I can't possibly tell the interviewer because Malaysia lack of career opportunity or the x3.5 currency rate.
