travelling to Sabah with layover in SG, need PP?

Hey, just wondering. do you need a passport if youre travelling from KUL -> BKI (Sabah) but with layover in singapore. Wanted to fly back to Sabah but direct flight from KL to KK is almost doubled if not tripled the price. I've found alternative where i would fly to Sabah from KL but with a connecting flight from SG. I will be travelling in Jun

Here's the price difference:

Direct flight : KUL -> BKI (RM 539)
With layover in SG: KUL -> SIN -> BKI (RM 239)

Remote working, hows tax?

As title say, I am currently in the final steps of being employed by a foreign company based in London and ill be working with them remotely, full-time.

I'll be paid a yearly salary of 51k GBP and the money will be TT directly to my bank account in Malaysia. Hows the income tax for this? I've read this

Subsection 13(2), Taxation Act 1967 states the following,

QUOTE

"Gross income in respect of gains or profits from an employment-
(a) for any period during which the employment is exercised in Malaysia;....
... shall be deemed to be derived from Malaysia."

In LHDN's website,

QUOTE

Income Remitted from Outside Malaysia, With effect from the year of assessment 2004, income derived
from outside Malaysia and received in Malaysia by resident individual is exempted from tax.

These statement are conflicting each other so I would love to hear any clarification from you guys! Cheers!
