He reminded the Pakatan Harapan of its pledge in the election manifesto to repeal repressive laws, in particular the draconian provisions in the Sosma Act 2012 [Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012], under which the seven are being held.

Lim said LTTE had been defeated by Sri Lankan forces and the 26-year civil war had ended in 2009, with their head being killed in battle.

“More than 10 years have elapsed and it is ridiculous to envisage a revival of LTTE from Malaysia, and involving DAP leaders,” he said in a statement

He said the DAP’s political struggle had been a peaceful and non-violent one since 53 years ago, and he believed the two assemblymen were committed to DAP’s principles as well.

Lim said that with the change of government, the police must also undergo changes in terms of mentality and strategy in regards to national security and dissent.

“This is the reason for the PH pledge in its 14th general election manifesto to repeal repressive laws, in particular, the draconian provision in the Sosma Act 2012.

“Until this is done, there must be effective check and balance to ensure that the spirit of the PH pledge of a New Malaysia is honoured and there are no abuses of power when the dracronian provisions in repressive laws are still in place.”

Lim said he would visit the families of Gunasekaran and Saminathan in Seremban and Melaka, respectively, on Sunday.

When things escalated and the situation was taken to a police station, the police yet again made no attempt to resolve the situation in a fair and reasonable manner. “In the police office i was screaming and asking her why did you attack me and police men kept saying shut up shut up I felt so unfair and so disrespected and all was against us,” she recalls.

To make matters worse, the Korean woman who is being accused of attacking the Swedish woman and her friend was reportedly screaming “go out from my country” in Korean.Following the vicious attack, the victim has shared her experiences on social media hoping to gain advice on how to handle the situation, “I’m still shaking, I can’t believe what happened cuz I never had fight or got attacked before,” she wrote. “I feel so unsafe I think I cant live here anymore.”

Woman randomly stabs three-year-old boy

An ambulance rushed the stricken boy to hospital where he was treated for cuts to his nose and cheek, which were deemed to be 'moderately severe,' Jam News reported. The knife-woman was able to flee the scene but was detained by police this morning.

The injured boy's parents said they had never seen the woman and officers were unable to reveal a motive for her actions.
The woman is charged with intentional infliction of grave injury to the health of a minor and faces up to ten years in prison.

Show Cause Letter for Minor Misconduct

Wanna ask/opinion on matter above.

Can Show Cause letter be given for minor misconduct?
Such as talking loudly in office or other minor nuisance?

As what I understand, show cause can only be produced when we want to proceed with Domestic Inquiries,
and not as warning letter or as per letter stated "show cause", as a mere minor misconduct can be settled with
face to face meeting.

Is this a show of abusing power of HR, or it is actually ok for HR to pass Show Cause letter haphazardly?

PETALING JAYA: A manager of a landscape company was arrested after he crashed his car into a fast food outlet in Kota Damansara here yesterday.

In the 6pm incident, the 60-year-old suspect was found to have driven under the influence of alcohol, resulting in him crashing his Mercedes Benz into the Burger King outlet.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said initial investigation found that the vehicle skidded and ran over a pedestrian and two motorcycles parked at the location.

“The crash also damaged the wall, tables and chairs outside the premises,” he said in a statement today.

Mohd Zani added that the pedestrian, 72-year-old Lee Guo Hoo, suffered injuries to his head and legs.

“Alcohol test on the suspect showed positive reading of excessive alcohol level, higher than the legal consumption limit.

“The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) and Section 45A(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” Mohd Zani concluded.

Indonesian leader reaffirms plan to move capital

"Our country's capital will move to Kalimantan Island. The location can be in Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan or South Kalimantan," Mr Joko said on Twitter, using the Indonesian name for Borneo.

"All aspects are being studied thoroughly so that the decision will be in line with our national vision for the next 10, 50, 100 years," he said.

The city of Palangkaraya and an area near oil-rich Balikpapan have been considered as among the likely site for the new capital.

Experts said unlike other parts of Indonesia, most of Borneo is not prone to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

The government wants to start moving to a new capital by 2024, at the end of Mr Joko's second five-year term in office. National Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said earlier this year that such a move could cost up to US$33 billion (S$45.61 billion).

Funding will involve allowing developers to manage government-owned property in Jakarta in return for helping build the future new city, he said.

The government has cited traffic congestion, frequent flooding and faster land subsidence as the main considerations for the move.

About 40 per cent of Jakarta, a metropolis of 10 million people, is now below sea level and keeps sinking.

The greater Jakarta area, including satellite cities, is home to 30 million people.

The government has said economic losses caused by the city's traffic jams are estimated at 100 trillion

Baru-baru ini, rakyat Malaysia dikejutkan dengan kejadian yang menimpa seorang pemandu Grab yang dilaporkan hilang pada Jumaat lalu. Setelah operasi dijalankan, pemandu tersebut dipercayai disamun dan dibunuh sebelum mayatnya dibuang ke kawasan semak dekat pantai Kampung Shahbandar, Tuaran. Berikutan itu, pihak polis juga telah memberkas dua orang suspek yang telah mengaku membunuh mangsa sebelum mayatnya dibuang.

Di sebalik kejadian tersebut, netizen telah menjumpai akaun Facebook salah seorang suspek di laman media sosial. Hasil carian yang dibuat pada akaun tersebut, netizen menjumpai video ‘live’ dibuat sehari selepas kejadian.

Terkesan dengan video tersebut, netizen meluahkan rasa marah mereka terhadap individu itu kerana tidak ada rasa bersalah membunuh pemandu Grab tersebut dan kelihatan masih ‘tenang’. Perkara ini adalah kerana tarikh suspek membuat ‘Live’ tersebut adalah pada 26 Mei dan mangsa dibunuh pada 25 Mei iaitu sehari selepas dia membunuh mangsa.

Menurut sumber dari Facebook Wan Syaza Dayana, Pesuruhjaya Polis Sabah telah memberitahu bahawa kedua-dua suspek memang menggunakan perkhidmatan Grab mangsa dan selepas disoal siasat, mereka mengakui membunuh Mohammad Hanafie dan membuang mayatnya di kawasan semak.

“Bertindak atas maklumat itu, polis berjaya mengesan dan menahan dua lelaki di kawasan parkir 1 Borneo, di Kota Kinabalu, 9.50 malam tadi.
“Hasil soal siasat, kedua-dua suspek mengaku membunuh mangsa sebelum membuang mayatnya di kawasan semak di Kampung Shahbandar, Tuaran.” –Katanya.

Susulan itu, Jumbadi bertindak menceritakan pengalamannya mengambil seorang pelanggan bernama Keysha yang bekerja di sebuah pusat karoke di Instagram.

The recipes hailed all the way from Thailand use coconut shell charcoal as the secret ingredient
(good woh, if food poisoning just eat this kuih and be done with it). So famous as you need to leave your phone number
so tomorrow you can collect the kuih.

Resentment during buka puasa.

It's been one of the most discussed topic during bulan puasa, usually on FB and Twitter.

Usually buka puasa at 7.30pm +-, and restaurant, food court, cafe usually filled up with muslim who want to buka puasa,
and non-muslim who want to have dinner.

A. Should non-muslim or non puasa wait a bit for the muslim to buka puasa first, then have dinner.

B. Both need to eat, so duduk sama2 la. U makan kurma pun boleh buka puasa.

C. Gado la. I need my dinner and u need buka puasa. I also need to eat.

For me, non should have dinner early a bit. Because a high influx of muslim want to eat make servis damn slow, later food 1 hour pun kenot get.
Lepas tu kena stare of death from others. Not to mention parking will be damn sux.

Do you see this case before? Pee and then don't want to flush?
I mean not only urinal, even the cubical not safe from this.

If the case happen in RnR or Public is still ok, where the public comes from different part of education level and awareness.
Ini jadi in corporate office where all high level with massive pay, don't even bother to flush their own pee.

Summore sometimes take tissue paper until the toilet become clogged. What, u clean your body too ke?

Ah, in squatting toilet lagi worse, if use tissue then the sticky stuff dont want to get flush, wipe2 then left.
even the tissue stuck there lagi. WTF is this literal fecality.
