Despite busy and having a hectic life, I still force myself to spend time to do research and open thread here. Why? Cause for all of u. I want to provide useful info for u ppl. All the threads i open, u just nitpick one thread that I posted wrongly? Why don u guys credit me for the useful past threads that Ive created?

Really, Im so sad and emotional. I spent so much time creating threads, not only no one appreciate but still curse me. Cut me some slack la, I have to manage so many things, 1 thread wrong. 1 thread nia, u guys bully me.

I know im from poor family, u guys are so fking rich, thats why u never care for other ppl's feeling. It's ok. I know Im useless cause I earn low pay, unlike u guys rich parents.

Man murdered wife on cruise as she 'wouldn't stop

An American man is accused of murdering his wife during a cruise in Alaska because she would not stop laughing at him, US authorities said.

Personnel of the Emerald Princess went into the couple's cabin on Tuesday night (July 25) and found Kristy Manzanares, 39, dead, reported AFP via AsiaOne,

Kristy, a real estate agent, was covered in blood from a head wound and was pronounced dead 20 minutes later.

Her husband, Kenneth Manzanares, also 39, was arrested as a suspect and when searched for physical evidence by FBI agents, reportedly said, "My life is over."

According to Daily Mail, a witness who had gotten to the cabin before the crew said Kenneth was found with blood on his hands as well as clothes and had also tried to throw the victim's body overboard.

He apparently also tried to jump off the ship once security personnel arrived at the scene.

Court documents added that 'blood was spread throughout' the room and was on 'multiple surfaces'.

When one of the witnesses asked him what had happened, Kenneth responded, "She would not stop laughing at me," according to the affidavit.

Emerald Princess was carrying 3,400 passengers and 1,100 crew members on a week-long cruise of the Alaskan panhandle that left on Sunday (July 23) from Seattle, Washington.

Passengers reported hearing screams on the night of the incident.

The couple from Utah was believed to have been celebrating their anniversary and had been accompanied by their children.

Man arrested for trying to courier $14k cash to JB

A 41-year-old man was arrested at Woodlands Checkpoint on July 27 for his suspected involvement in loansharking activities.

In a news release, the police said they had received a report of loanshark harassment on July 23, whereby a residential unit in Woodlands was being chained and locked up.

A loanshark-related note was also found affixed on the unit’s main door.

Through extensive probes and enquiries, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him at Woodlands Checkpoint four days later.

Following the arrest, items including cash amounting to S$14,000, four Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards and a mobile phone were seized as case exhibits.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect had planned to courier the monies from loansharking activities to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The suspect will be charged in Court on 29 Jul 2017 for the offence of Assisting the Business of Unlicensed Moneylending under Section 14(1)(b)(i) of the Moneylenders’ Act (Revised Edition 2010), Chapter 118.

If found guilty, he is liable to a fine of not less than $30,000 and not more than $300,000, and with a jail term not exceeding four years.

Academic took upskirt videos of at least 71 women

A Taiwanese academic who took upskirt videos of at least 71 women using a pinhole camera attached to his shoe was sentenced to 18 weeks' jail on Friday (July 28).

Tsai Wei-Feng, 41, who faced 71 charges of insulting modesty, admitted to 10 counts committed at Takashimaya Shopping Centre on Orchard Road on Dec 17, 2016. The remaining charges were considered in sentencing.

He was in Singapore on a social visit pass at the time and was caught when a 22-year-old woman - the complainant in the case - noticed him behaving oddly.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Jason Chua told the court that the complainant was with three friends at the basement of Takashimaya department store that evening when she felt a bump on the haversack that she was carrying.

She turned and saw Tsai loitering around her friend, who was wearing a black dress, and then placing his left foot at the bottom of the latter's dress.

Finding his behaviour odd, the complainant told her friend and they decided to follow Tsai.

One of them later confronted Tsai as he was leaving the store. He was detained by the security staff of the store outside its Basement 1 entrance.

Police arrested him and seized the pinhole camera from his left shoe with eight video recordings.

DPP Chua said the investigation showed that Tsai had enabled the video recording mode in his pinhole camera and put it on his left shoe with its camera lens facing up in the toilet before committing the offences from around 7pm.

He would follow, walk close to and loiter around unknown female victims with the intent to insult their modesty by filming their underskirt without their knowledge.

In some cases, he would film victims multiple times. He filmed one victim 15 times.

We have all heard of car accident scams, in which someone throws themselves in front of an oncoming vehicle, pretend to have been hurt in the 'accident' and then demand compensation.

One such scammer in Hefei, China, unwittingly picked the wrong victim to mess with, however.

CCTV footage, which was posted on Weibo, shows the man hanging out in a carpark and using his phone, apparently waiting for his victim.

Upon sighting an approaching vehicle, he walked towards and in front of it, then threw himself down on the road -- despite barely coming into contact with the car.

The man even seemingly pretended to be hurt by folding his hands behind his head.

He lay there for some time until a police officer exited the car, hence prompting the scammer to realise his mistake and get up immediately.

The man's antics was also witnessed by many passers-by.

It is unclear what happened to the scammer after that.
