This post is to look for any fellow archery enthusiasts that aren't in a club, weekend shooters and just about anyone looking to inquire about archery and how to get into Archery!

Right now, i'm looking to exchange talks about the sport and perhaps see if i could make a connection. Currently, I am in Subang Jaya. Weekend shooter with a 66 Inch SF Optimo 26# Recurve. Shooting at KL at an indoor shooting range.

I'll edit the post to add more things to start help anyone looking to start archery as a new hobby as i am now. Cheers!

FAQ:

1. Q: What type of archery should i go for? Recurve? Hunting? Compound or Traditional?
A: If you go to a club, and ask the people there the same question. A compound shooter will say 'compound'. A recurve shooter will say 'target recurve'. And so on and so forth. It is entirely up to you to try on your own to find out which discipline in archery suits you!

2. Q: Is (Insert Generic Bow here) good? Should i buy it?
A: Most bows are made with the highest of qualities, but it only applies to branded bows. Please never, NEVER. Buy a bow online. Sure it may look appealing, RM 50-250 and all that. Why not try? DON'T DO IT! You will absolutely ruin your experience and enthusiasm in archery with cheap knockoff bows. Go to a club and try insteas, or a 'commercial' shooting range like Stars Archery to try a little.

3. Q: Well then, where should i buy a bow?
A: Your local archery pro shop. Google them, check facebook, message them, get in touch! Save a date and talk it out. You'll save 200 ringgit in disappointment from an online purchase and loss of passion. They would normally give you a good suggestion and some of them may let you try compound bows a try or even traditional ones!

4. Q: Aren't bows illegal?
A: No, bows are not illegal! However i believe that crossbows are, under Malaysian law. You'd have to check.

5. Q: Bows are expensive! What should i expect in price range?
A: For starters, a starter recurve like a Samick Sage or SF Optimo will cut you back 500-750 for the bow itself. More expensive bows are like professional recurves like Win&Win or Hoyt may cut you back 750-2000 for the riser itself, while the limbs will cut you back 500-2000+. Compound bows, being the latest and most advanced bow technology to date will cut you back about 1000 minimum for the bow itself.

To be honest, the most expensive part are the arrows. Cheap arrows will cost you 10 bucks and your ego. Proper arrows like a basic Easton XX75 will cost around 30-50 an arrow. So a dozen 'good' arrows will cost you 300+. Imagine breaking one or shooting an arrow into another like robin hood. Say goodbye to your wallet! But, imagine it as just another part of cost for maintenance.

Maxis Home Fibre Issue

This morning (8A.M) the maxis router has been flashing the power light, i have checked and restarted the router a few times already.

However the connection issue persists, slow load pages, and disconnection. I have tried calling Maxis IPTV (03-95431543) and their customer service line, still no bueno. I can't reach them, my phone just cuts off the call to Maxis even if i could call the rest of my phonebook just fine.

I live in an Apartment Condominium. White TMNet Router + Black Maxis Router. Both are fine, just checked power issues, adapters, and wiring.

Help?
