As per topic.

Has anyone else got issue with QR code not working?

I have gotten 2nd dose weeks ago and the digital certificate shows all correct information. But recently I click onto the QR Code, it shows "no details found" instead. Called helpdesk and they say will update in 5 working days.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue, and how you resolve it?

Hi guys, just wondering if LHDN has ever called you? They called me this morning, asking me more about the relief I claimed on education and if I invest in any PRS. I did claim for all these and have the supporting, but wondering if this call is a precursor for an audit? Honestly I just woke up and was a bit blur when they called, should have asked which year they were referring to (2019 i think).

I suppose if kena audit I just need to visit the office with my supporting? I very confident with my supportings but it's sorta troublesome lol.

Shin Godzilla

So...has anyone else watched this movie? It gets no push here and the cinema I was in had like, 20 people tops. Weird. I don't see TGV pushing it as well despite being the distributor.

Overall, I thought the movie was pretty awesome and well worth a watch. I like that it gave me a different feel compared to the previous Godzilla films that I have watched. It treats the subject of huge nigh-invulnerable monster seriously, from the local government response, international response and even the economic ramification of all the destruction (stock market!!!!). It really gave off a feeling of authenticity and realism.

There are tons of meeting scenes but I don't feel like these scenes are wasted or useless. Each meeting have purposes, from showing information on the latest situation on Godzilla to no-too-subtle jab at the government policy and structure. But there are way too much caption (why do I need to know the characters are at corridors to the PM's office?) and I got little bit lost at the politic terms and techno mumbles. Heard that it is Anno style though.

The characters are ok, serving as stereotypes more than anything. I thought the supposing envoy lady from US has surprising good english for a japanese actress. Not perfect, but far better than I expected lol.

The Shin Godzilla is awesome. I really dig the monstrous look and they really capture the Godzilla as natural disaster feel well. This Godzilla does not gave a damn to human. It just walks and destroys everything on its path. There are no malice like the GMK Godzilla, this one is very neutral. The CG on Godzilla is iffy in some parts, but in some others, it is fantastic. Some of the last action sequences at the end really feels Hollywood tier. I love that Atomic breath scene too. Such beautiful destruction.

Now I regret not ordering that SHMA Godzilla

Few thoughts by someone going from WP to Android

I got my hands on Xiami Mi3 last month so after using it for a while, I'm going to compare my user experience with Android (MIUI seems to be one heavily modified Android OS, but I guess basic function still the same) and with WP8.

First off, I'm not a very tech savy person. I changed hp around every 2 years and mostly I change platforms every time to keep things fresh. I bought Lumia 920 after using my N8, so the WP OS looks very fresh to me. Coming from N8 and Symbian, WP8 is very smooth, fast and beautiful. Two years past, I sorta get bored with my WP8, one of the main reasons is the lack of apps, it is sorta boring to see all my friends and colleagues playing the 'in-game' on their androids and ios devices. And with the recent Xiaomi craze, I thought, why not try one?

So I bought Xiaomi Mi3 and has a really great time with it. I'm going to compare my experience with it and with the WP8, and see what WP did wrong, what it can improve and what it did right.

First, for the OS, WP8 earns point for being beautiful, and this is why I go to WP and not Android the first time. I just love the concept of live tiles, animating tiles and very beautiful. Android only has the icons and widgets, which are not so beautiful when mixed together. However, I really love the widget's actual function. Take the music player widget for example, I can actually directly play music from it and does not even need to go into the app to do so. Same goes with the weather app, I can actually flip through few weather information on the different area without entering the app. Compared to Android, WP8's live tiles are kinda useless functional wise. It does not help that sometimes the live information shown does not even work....

The notification system in my Mi3 works better than the system in my Lumia 920, notification comes on time, but I notice that fb messenger still got the same problem, probably fb issues. I like that I have some control on the music player etc on the notification pull down list as well, and more access to more settings in my Mi3.

I do miss my Lumia 920's camera ability, and that wireless charging, but that's more on the OEM though.

The one area that Android is absolutely killing WP8 is the app. You can say that WP8 has enough app, but that definitely is not true, and the app quality in Android is way better than those in WP8 (and I heard it's even better in iOS). Compare facebook in android and to facebook in wp8, the quality is too far apart. FB on android is smooth, upload and viewing pictures fast, WP8's are slow as hell. Same goes with Whatsapp, LINE (with actual LINE games that WP8 lacks) and etc, not to mention all those extra games (the hot games like Hay Day etc) in Android but WP8 lacks. With Android, I now have access to good local apps such as CIMB banking apps, cinema apps that really add to my day to day life. WP must absolutely salvage the app problems. After seeing all the apps available in Android, I honestly can't recommend any normal people to use WP, unless they just want to try things out....

So yeah....I guess I can say that I make a good choice to leave WP? It definitely opens my eyes to how better the other platforms are. WP is playing catching up, but I think they are way too slow. I will probably move on to iOS after I'm done with Android to test out new stuffs, but I definitely hope that WP will improve, especially the app areas...or they probably will get slaughtered in the increasing competitive market, especially with the onslaught of highly affordable china phones....

When/How will you quit Windows Phone?

I started using WP8 (Lumia 920) since January 2013 and it has been six months. I made the jump from Symbian to WP8 due to my interest in Nokia phones and its camera capabilities. WP8 is a significant improvement to Symbian in terms of functions, smoothness and number of apps (but probably not by much )

Thing is, WP8 is far from perfect and actually has many crippling disadvantages. What should be the main selling point: the social integration in the contact ala people hub does not function properly, especially the facebook chat, full of bugs. The refreshing rate for live tile (30 minutes at most) make the tile pretty much useless and some of the notification on the tiles just do not work. There's also the lack of key short cuts and file managers. I don't really have much to comment on the apparent lack of apps in the store as I have what I need, but some quality of the apps are just lacking. There's whatsapp and the delayed messages receiving etc etc.

I enjoy my WP8 experience enough to overlook the problem. However, I have been taking that since I have no tried iOS and Android, would my view be very different had I used these phones first? As far as I know, these other platforms have very strong performing apps and get new apps far far earlier than WP8. The only thing WP8 apparently have over them seems to be only the smoothness (or so I have been told) and different. Functional wise, WP8 seems to get its ass kicked nonstop (pardon my ignorance but this comes from a guy who have not tried iOS and android yet and just based on my play time with my friend's hp)

So I have been considering to switch to other platforms in another year or two as I plan three years life span for my phone. I think that if WP does not make significant jump in their functions, I probably will jump ship to other platforms to test and see.

What are your thoughts? How long do you see yourself sticking with WP? What will be the break or make factor for you to jump ship?

[WTA]Impact Tooth Surgical Removal

Hi guys,

I had rather severe toothache during last week and has consulted a dentist. He said it is due to my bottom right wisdom tooth has impacted and requires surgery to remove it. He couldn't do it in his dental clinic and advised me to go to a hospital. I would like to ask currently what is the average market price to surgically remove said tooth? And I was told that usually to remove wisdom tooth, the opposite one (in my case, upper right tooth) needed to be removed as well to prevent me accidentally biting my gum? Is that true? And does the surgery price include removing two tooth or just one?

Also, what is the market price for crowning? My tooth next to the impact teeth has decayed and might require crowning to save it.....
