Lombok, VIVA – Seorang pendaki kewarganegaraan Malaysia terjatuh di Tebing Gunung Rinjani. Korban yang diidentifikasi bernama Mohd Hafidz (38) jatuh di jurang sebelah jembatan Pos II Sembalun, pada Senin, 16 September 2024.
Korban bersama rekannya mendaki sekitar pukul 10.50 Wita. Namun, saat berada di pos dua, korban terpeleset jatuh ke arah tebing saat menghindari porter yang akan melintas.
“Korban menghindari porter yang sedang melintas naik di jalur yang sama, kemudian terpeleset jatuh,” kata Kasi Humas Polres Lombok Timur, Iptu Nikolas pada Selasa, 17 September 2024.
Beruntung, nyawa korban selamat. Korban hanya mengalami luka pada pelipis mata kanan, sakit pada bagian leher, punggung dan pada pergelangan kaki sebelah kanan dan korban tidak bisa berjalan.
“Setelah melihat kejadian tersebut, rekannya yang berada di dekat korban langsung meminta pertolongan kepada orang-orang yang berada di sekitar lokasi kejadian,” ujarnya.
Tim Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani (TNGR) dibantu porter dan guide serta pendaki lain membantu mengevakuasi korban.

looking at the image of how its not that big area of it, its possible that when they lost communication and lost tracking within 1 hour and half
it is still not imploded yet, but possibly just lost control or lost electricity
they might not yet gone at the time because if they implode earlier, the debris field might be bigger
the loud bang at that time might have been what destroying the tracking
the knocking sound might have been really them after all.
they might be in the dark with oxygen slowly diminishing unable to surface, slowly going further down
and when its too deep down, only then the whole sub implode

as my prediction last week

just my prediction

just this year alone i know there's 3 cases of people die in the middle of marathon
1 die in the middle kokol marathon
1 from borneo international marathon (even though its just 10 km, looks like he's an avid runner too)
both cases in sabah

then another 1 in london not finished the marathon (not sure but think is also sabahan)

then there's another one avid runner age around 30 (still young) long distance running every week
look healthy and fit, reduced weight from totally fat for past 4 years, passed away recently for myocardial infarction (in layman term, heart attack)

then another one person i know, not only a long distance runner but a podiumers (i mean win a lot of number 1-10 of marathon)
with pace 4 something, recently stop running due to leg problem.
turn out its actually having myocardial infarction 2 times already

my point is long distance running is not a good way to get fit or lose weight
its even worse if doing it every week. even olympic long distance runner i imagine they dont do it every week
its more of a once in a while checking your fitness

i remember long ago when people keep doing fitness in aiming for a single big yearly marathon instead of doing marathon every week
event kids on school only have exam once or twice a year, or they'll get stress
i remember calling on those avid runner that the person die during london marathon probably pushing himself too far
they get angry and said its his common pace.. to be that fast..
well i guess its his pace. but not his heart pace. they've been pushing their heart unknowingly
they probably didnt have smartwatch to watch their heart rate, they only care about their pace

invest in smart watch that really can take continous heart rate monitor please
to be save, only use up to only 70% of your maximum heart rate
maximum heart rate is 220 minus your age
more than that have to reduce your pace
your heart cannot take more than 30 seconds of more than 80% of your max heart rate
that's why interval training is better to reduce weight than running a long distance (yeah i've seen people in the ldr group still fat after so many marathon)
plus for fat person, long distance just going to wear out your joint

hope this as a wake up call if you are an avid runner, who run long distance running / trail event every weekend

especially those from modern world transfer to an isekai

Disney raises bid for Fox assets to $71.3 billion in cash and stock, topping Comcast

TLDR version

Walt Disney Co. raised its bid for Twenty-First Century Fox's movie and television assets to $71.3 billion, the companies announced Wednesday.

The new bid is $38 a share, up from Disney's $28 a share offer in December and rivaling Comcast's $35 a share all-cash bid last week. Comcast's deal is valued at $65 billion.

The bidding war was expected as the two media giants battle over Fox's movie production business as well as networks National Geographic and FX, Star TV, stakes in Sky, Endemol Shine Group, Hulu and regional sports networks.

Disney's new bid allows Fox shareholders to choose cash or stock. Fox called the new Disney offer "superior" to the Comcast proposal.

Fox's Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch and Disney CEO Robert Iger met Tuesday night before this new bid was submitted, sources told CNBC's David Faber.

Fox shares were up 7.3 percent Wednesday, while shares of Disney rose around 1 percent. Iger said on a conference call that Disney does not expect to complete the $20 billion share buyback it announced in December.

Shares of CNBC parent Comcast jumped 1.8 percent Wednesday, moving after Bloomberg News reported that the Justice Department was set to approve Disney's bid in as soon as two weeks. The company has agreed to sell some assets to gain approval, a source told Bloomberg.

The Justice Department, Fox and Disney did not respond immediately to requests for comment from CNBC. Comcast declined to comment.

In a statement on Wednesday, Murdoch said, "We are extremely proud of the businesses we have built at 21st Century Fox, and firmly believe that this combination with Disney will unlock even more value for shareholders as the new Disney continues to set the pace at a dynamic time for our industry."

The statement added, "We remain convinced that the combination of [Fox's] iconic assets, brands and franchises with Disney's will create one of the greatest, most innovative companies in the world."

Iger said in a statement Wednesday that the combination with the Fox units would allow Disney to create more appealing content, expand its direct-to-consumer offerings and international presence and "deliver more personalized and compelling entertainment experiences to meet growing consumer demand around the world."

Disney's bid in December was a stock deal worth $52.4 billion at the time, but CNBC has reported that the company was willing to add cash to sweeten the offer if a rival stepped in. Disney said Wednesday, "Since the original agreement was announced, the intrinsic value of these assets has increased, notably due to tax reform and operating improvements."

Fox's board had a scheduled meeting on Wednesday at which it was expected to talk about Comcast's rival bid.

Fox said its board hadn't concluded Comcast's unsolicited bid "could reasonably be expected to result in a 'Company Superior Proposal' under the Disney Merger Agreement."

A spokesman for Comcast said the company does not have a comment right now.

PASANGAN remaja masing-masing berusia 17 tahun dicekup anggota penguatkuasa Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (JHEAINS) selepas disyaki berkhalwat di rumah ibu angkat mereka di apartmen di Mantin, Nilai, hari ini.

Sumber berkata, anggota penguatkuasa yang menerima aduan penduduk menjalankan serbuan di premis terbabit, 12.30 tengah malam.

Katanya, kedua-dua suspek dipercayai bersekedudukan sebelum anggotanya mengetuk pintu rumah.

"Sedar kehadiran pihak berkuasa, remaja lelaki cuba terjun tingkat satu kediaman, namun, dia membatalkan hasrat sebaik dinasihati anggota JHEAINS," katanya.

Sumber itu berkata, suspek mendakwa berduaan di rumah akibat kepenatan selepas menziarahi anak kepada ibu angkat mereka yang dirawat di Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar (HTJ), Seremban.

"Pemeriksaan mendapati hanya dua remaja itu berada di kediaman manakala ibu angkat mereka berada di hospital," katanya.

Menurutnya, remaja lelaki memberitahu tinggal di bilik berasingan namun pemeriksaan mendapati barang peribadi milik mereka berada dalam bilik yang sama.

"Remaja perempuan mendakwa bapanya yang tinggal di Lenggeng yang menghantarnya untuk bermalam di rumah itu," katanya.

Sementara itu Ketua Unit Bahagian Penguatkuasaan JHEAINS, Ahmad Zaki Hamzah dihubungi mengesahkan penahanan mengikut Seksyen 61 (1) Enakmen Jenayah Syariah Negeri Sembilan 1992.
