Superbike For A Noob

Hello, I'm very new to this forum.

Planning on getting a superbike by the end of the year, or early next year, but I've near to zero experience. Hence, the topic title. Plus license pun takda, but I believe can get it done in just a couple weeks or so. Looking more towards getting a superbike/supernaked (S1000RR / 959 / Dragster 800 RR) bike for weekend use, and sometimes for work.

The question that I've been cracking my head with and might enrage the riders here is, should I get a 1000cc as a beginner, or start off with something smaller ?

I've mixed around with a few very experienced riders, few beginner riders and what's in between, to get their opinion on this.
MOST said to get the 1000cc bike straight away and learn to tame the thing, they implied that a 1000cc will be worth the money as well. Only a couple said to start off with a 250cc, learn the ropes and move up from there.

In my opinion, I think I am confident enough to get a 1000cc bike, as the new-gen bikes have different modes that tones down the power and loads of rider aids (ABS, traction control, quickshifter etc). Would like to get the forum community's point of view regarding this question, to help me make a better decision.

Besides that, I greatly value the lives of others and myself, so I would not dare to endanger them by being irresponsible on the road.
