NEW Proton Suprima S or Pre-Reg VW Vento TSI

Hi guys,

I am looking at getting a new car for myself with a budget of RM 70k- 75k (putting 20k downpayment). These are the 3 top things I am looking for in the car:

1. Performance, ride and handling
2. Long-term reliability (this includes not having to replace too many parts as well as the car having good build quality)
3. Maintenance cost

4. Fuel consumption (I know having both power and fuel economy is not possible, but having decent FC will be good)

Based on this and my budget, I have shortlisted it to a New Proton Suprima S (2017 model can get around RM72k if not mistaken) vs. a Pre-Reg Volkswagen Vento 1.2 TSI (can be anywhere between 65-75k depending for a 2016-2017 model). Notice I am not considering Honda City or Toyota Vios at all as performance is my most important consideration at this price bracket. Likewise, not interested in going for C-segments with superior performance like Civic, Elantra Turbo or Ford Focus as the price is too high for me (I do not want to spend too much money taking long loans on a depreciating asset).

Which do you think will be the better option? Or, do you have any other suggestions?

Best Wireless Broadband plan for heavy user

Hi Guys, i'm looking to get the best 4G/LTE wireless broadband service for primarily home usage. My area has no Unifi, Maxis Fibre or Time Fibre. Considering these options at the moment:

1. Digi (highest data cap at 100 GB)
2.UMobile (no contract, free unlimited video streaming for higher-end packages)
3. Yes 4G (decent quota, not sure about reliability)
4. P1 (only one to offer unlimited data, but speed is only 2Mbps???!!)

So far all the packages seem to split their data quota between peak/non peak hours, which is kinda irritating. My profile: I work from home so internet usage will be a bit heavy, plus I would most probably stream videos and iflix/netflix daily. I value high internet speeds and wouldn't mind paying more for this.

Used Streamyx before but dissapointed with their service (slow, internet goes off intermittently etc.)

Seeking suggestions as what plan or provider to go for.

Hey guys, i just wanted to know your opinion on each of the 3 groupings. I have separated business/commerce field from arts bcoz i think it's a bit different from arts subjects. What are your thoughts on the subjects and wic field wud u choose for ur tertiary studies and why/ is it mainly due to interest or bcoz of job prospects? Thnaks for ur time...

Guideline:

Arts/Social Science (courses like mass comm, psychology, political science, history, design etc....)

Business/commerce ( accounting, finance, management, economics (though econs can also be a social science) etc...)

Science/Engineering (all those science/engineering related courses including bio related courses n physics related ones)

Accounting vs. Economics & International Business

Hi evryone. I'm having a real dillemma now. I'm about to go to NZ to further my studies. My parents want me to do an accounting degree bcoz they say its easier to get a job once u graduate and the prospects are good. I however don't have much interest in it and am really more interested in economics. I'm thinking of doing a double major in Econs and International Business, i hav passion for both subjects and think i can do well in them. However, im afraid the job opps won't be as much as accounting, correct me if im wrong. Shud I follow my parents advice n do accounting for the sake of getting a good job, or shud i follow my interests and do something wic i know i'll enjoy learning? TQ

NUS Economics or Law?

Hi everyone, im still undecided as to whether to take a law degree or econs degree... my maths is so-so, but reli hav an interest for econs, dont mind working extra hard for it. at the same time, law appeals to me as well... so wic one is a better course to take in terms of career prospects? will a law grad be looked upon more favourably than an econs grad, or vice-versa? all these are important things to take into account...

Im thinking bout goin to either NUS for law or economics anf ntu for econs. wic one is better for econs, ntu or nus?
