Freshies from 2020, how you get job?

Hi everyone,

I am Mechanical freshies degree graduated in October 2020, and still unemployed. There are several question to freshies and experienced employee out there I want to ask:-

1. How you manage to secure your job on 2020 / 2021?

2. After 6months of unemployment my knowledge in Mechanical studies start fading, I want to reskill / re learn but I not sure where to start (afraid it wont related to the job i will possibly get in the future). Currently, I just focus on reskilling my CAD software knowledge.

3. What new skill can be learned during my unemployment and where the skill can be applied in my future career?

4. What to do if I did not get job after a year? Does my cert have expiry date?

5. I'm thinking to apply as draftsman (diploma position), it is possible I can get atleast 2k in this position? Can I be promoted to engineer after 1 year of experience.

6. If die2 not get job what possible career change? (hope not)

I think that all for my question this time, I currently applied almost 200 application on jobs, protege, trainee and manage to get 5 interviews and failed all of them . As I already received my cert, and know the senate date I will also apply for Gov job on SPA later.

Any advice related would be welcome. Huge thanks!!,sorry if some of this question has been ask before in this sub forum.

JPA PIDN, what you do after lapor diri?

Hi guys, im finished my studies and want to proceed to "lapor diri" but i dont have clear instruction on step after lapor diri.

My JPA PIDN 2017 (Loan) contract term:

work goverment 6years: no pay

Work glc 6 years: pay 25%

work private 6 years: pay 50%

What i found in Myself portal:

JPA biasiswa path

Lapor diri ------> apply SPA ------> apply Star (if want private)

but im JPA PIDN loans so what path i must take?

Question

1. What path must i take after lapor diri

2. If you guys taken PIDN loan what sector you in now?

3. If i took glc or private as my work path how much i will payback per month?

4. The discount effect for glc/private applied during work or after 6 years?

I tried sent email to JPA but no response. I will try call them tomorrow.

Anyone taken pidn loans can share ur experience here. I dint go to last jpa final year briefing due to unavoidable metter .

Should i invest on NVME or Sata SSD?

I have 8 years old laptop, so i decide to use it probably for one more year.

I use it for browsing, downloading, copy huge file, and open program like creo, solidwork, photoshop which require a lot of time for load.

So for this one year usage i planed to add ssd to gain some speed. And probably take out the sdd and put it into new laptop when i buy it next year.

My question:

1) is sata sdd start to extinct? some laptop manufacture put 2 nvme slot in their product.

2) which on faster (for now i dont care about speed cause my old laptop is sata III only as long it faster than my hdd)

So as we know starting 8th April we have to move on to Grap app to book cars.

Im a constant uber user and also a student, taking uber from my rent apart to uni only take ~Rm3-5, and also uber always giving RM4 coupun. Meanwhile grab charge RM6-9 same distant as uber, grab rarely give coupun ,

What will happen next?
Grab driver become more ? will the price goes down if many grab drive in my area?

i also heard some ex-grab driver says grab easliy ban their driver and rigistertion of cars take alot of time

What ur opinion?

Telephone, port broken(unifi installation)

Havent used the telphone port for the long time....

My apart finally got unifi coverage, now i found out that my telephone
port broken , not really broken but the old telephone plug stuck in the hole of the port, and cracked...

Should i tell the installer earlier? Or just ingnore it?
Will i be charged on the spot? Or on the bill?

Ok here is the story,

Currently i study at UNITEN, so after few search for sponsorsheep( I tried ytn dindt get lel), So i decided to stop searching and take ptptn , after some month (1st year 2nd sem), i saw the PIDN(Program Ijazah Dlam Negara) and i tried my luck and i got!?

So here the problem 1st class degree in UNITEN 3.5(currently im 3.46) and if successfully graduate with 1st class degree ptptn can settle(i hope can maintain lol)!

So the PIDN is kinda confusing but i understand little bit about it , so pidn pay all fees! And after graduate ,if you work with govement you don have to pay,work with GLC compony 25% pay, and private compony 50%, other than that pay all

So which better?? Any here taken PIDN??

Basically i and my friends will stay in rent house for 1 year . There are no internet service currently in the house. I have searched unifi but the contract is 24month(2 years).

The house have 7 peoples and will need unlimited quota!

Any help??

Who use P1 anymore? LOL right?...My family have subscribed P1 Wimax RM49 since it first came out (I think when it have POTONG ads). Have a lot of expriece from this service, the internet speed get slower when heavy rain(now it really stable although outside raining like cat and dogs).

P1 2 years of use it came with 512Kbps,( I dont really remember... ), it took 7 hours to download 700mb movies!!!(Im feeling proud for my patient), yup, 5 GB of quota wont be enough , I advised my sibling to watch youtube in 240p(LOL!!).. After 2 years contract finished, They contact my father and tell him to continue the contract and will be give extra 5GB every month!(Total 10GB), We continue using Wimax until one day they upgraded our broadband plan to 1mbps .

But today each family member have their own smartphone except for my mother and father(He rarely use internet)..10GB WILL be finish in just 15days!!! Sometime 10Days!!...I dont really dind ask my father to change the internet service because he always think that internet were waste of money..and my lil sister will always on her phone and finising quata like water...For now i been using data for a while (Umobile)..

Okay...

Last two weeks i recieve an email saying P1 Wimax will discontinue thier service...
