Deduct Loan Interest for Income Tax

Hi all sifu,

May I know whether we can deduct our rental income for the home loan interest of the 6 moratorium months from Mar-Aug 2020? since we are not paying the home loan for the 6 months...

Appreciate if anyone can reply. I had tried call LHDN but no one pick up the call...

Downlights still lighted up after switch off

Hi all sifu, I had installed downlights and surface lights and found they are still lighten up dim after I switch it off. I tired turn off the power from main power box then only they turn off entirely. Can sifu let me know why it appear dim even I switch it off?

Surface light excess wires

Hi all sifu, I installed some surface lights and I did not cut off the excessive long wire, and rest all the excessive wires in the surface light casing. The excessive wire are bout 2 to 3 feet long. May I know is this safe? I worry the led panel heat up the wire in the casing..

Electrical wiring for light

Hi all sifu,

I had bought a lamp and the lamp consists of 5 light bulbs with each one spec is 40W and 220V. The lamp does not come with proper wiring and plug. I went to hardware shop and found the common thin red and black wire (both wire twisted together), can I connect the lamp with the wire? Can the wire support the 5 light bulbs?

Use lighting point to share with water heater powe

Hi all sifu, my house bathroom has no power point for water heater, only has the lighting point. Can we share out power from lighting switch for water heater? Would it be lack of power for the water heater?

Electricity Meter Issue

Today I received a call from a guy who from TNB and he said he checked my electricity meter running slower because had by pass something and causing 20% lower bill for previous bills.

I think he had changed a new meter now. Then he said end of this month will send me a letter to bill me the previous bills that had paid less 20%. I'm not staying in the unit and all this while I had rented out the unit. He could not answer after I asked him further questions. Anyone facing same issue? Appreciate someone can advice what I should do, as this is totally not fair to me.

Common Area Ceiling Water Leakage

Hi all,

My apartment management call me that the common area corridor ceiling has water leak. He told me that they have tested and found it is caused by my unit water pipe leak causing the common area corridor ceiling water leaking.

I know if the unit below my unit has ceiling water leaking, then it is my responsibility to fix it. But now the water leak is at corridor common area which far away from my unit, is this still under my responsibility? they claim I have to fix it because the leak is caused from my unit water pipe.

Anyone know whether the water leak at corridor common area should be fix by me, or management has to fix it with their own cost? This apartment just passed 2 years from VP last year end.
