Noob help: Will 9600 GSO run on my Dell

Hi all.

I'm trying to find a graphics card upgrade for my Dell. I'm tottaly clueless when it comes to hardware, a 'tech savvy' friend took a look at my CPU and recommended me a 9600 GSO.

After some research on the web , im not too sure if the card will run on my PC.
Pc specs : Dell Dimension9200 , 2gb ram , Vista , Intelcore 2 6400 @ 2.13

Firstly, being the noob that i am , i'm clueless about my motherboard's model and its compatability with the card. I'm currently using an ATi x1300 Pro that came bundled with it. I assume they are both PCIe cards and can run on the same mobo? Can anyone tell me if my mobo is compatible with just these simple info provided. What else do you guys need to know to help me make sure ?
Second, i've came to know that the recommended power supply is 400W. My dell provided PSU is only 375W. Is it safe to go ahead with the graphics card swap withouth upgrading my PSU. I've already busted my brains trying to find a suitable card, dont wanna do the same with a power supply.

If the 9600 GSO isnt suitable for my rig. What would be a better option.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Tx in advance all sifu.
