When opening account with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), we need to fill up FATCA AND CRS DECLARATION FORM (BORANG PENGISYTIHARAN FATCA DAN CRS).

Under this form, there is a clause saying "I hereby consent that ASNB may classify me as a recalcitrant account holder in the event that I fail to provide accurate and complete information and/or documentation as ASNB may require under the FATCA requirements (Saya dengan ini bersetuju bahawa ASNB boleh mengklasi kasikan saya sebagai pemegang akaun rekalsitran sekiranya saya gagal untuk memberikan maklumat tepat dan lengkap
dan lengkap dan/atau dokumentasi yang dikehendaki oleh ASNB di bawah keperluan FATCA.)"

What is the impact being a recalcitrant account holder? It will impact only ASNB products? or it will affects our investment in others area, such as KLSE Stock investment (ie. we cannot trade in KLSE stock once become a recalcitrant account holder)?

Thanks.

Water leaking - Developer push away responsibility

The main-con try to use temporary solution (Injecting PU) to fix my water leaking issues which come from upper unit's toilet. They already repeat the fix for 4 times throughout the past whole year. After repair, every few months later, the same problem reoccur and water leaking again. Basically, their tactic is try to drag and delay until OCT19 when the defects liability period (warranty) finish.

I ask them during the 4th time repair(Aug19), what if PU injection doesn't work and water leak again after OCT19? They try to push away the responsibility and ask me to look for upper unit resident to repair for me, they said when warranty finish, law is like that.

But the thing is, I have already reported this issue to them 1 year ago, the developer/main-con should take the responsibility to ensure issues is fix properly and not pushing the responsibility to upper unit when they fail to repair the defects correctly. It is obvious they try to use dirty tricks to delay the process until warranty finish so that they can run away from this hassle. This is not fair to the innocent upper unit.

What can I do now? How to make further complaints?

Electric point

I just got the keys for my condo but I am not planning to move in now. The condo has electricity already but how can I test the electric points? Any devices like light bulbs, test pen, or voltmeter can help in this? If I am not test it now, I am afraid the defect liability period may over and no more warranty from the developer. Thanks.

Defect Liability - Water Leaking Problem

My new house (which is newly built) was ready and I just got the keys. Unfortunately, there is water leaking problem in my kitchen area. Apparently, there is a renovation work on my upper floor unit. My defect liability period is 2 years.

Question: If there a possibility that the developer refuse to repair as the warranty void due to upper floor renovation work? Can the developer push the responsibility to my upper floor neighbor and ask me to settle between me & my upper floor neighbor?

Any advise to handle this case?

Thanks.
