Question

Okay, So this isn't specifically about getting my own home done as currently I can only afford to rent a place.

I work for a new platform and as our target market is people who have just purchased a home, want to renovate or refresh their home, people looking for home services, or people just want to buy new stuff for their home I figured I would ask here.

If you were to help beta test a new platform(app) would you prefer a voucher/giftcard for:

-Petrol
-Movie Tickets
-Pharmacy

Or any other suggestions you might have would be helpful.

Currently we are seeking beta testers but would like to test in the target market.

The platform is a bit like if you mixed Lazada and Servis Hero into one but only focuses on home products, services, and renovations.

I know its a long shot to post it here but honestly this is still the best shot to get a response from real people because Facebook groups are mostly flooded with people trying to sell you something.

Any insight or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated as we are still trying to figure out what to give as well as how to give them to those willing to help us with testing and just hopefully sharing.

I look forward to hearing any response,

Thank you in advance.

Sam

really really bad FC

i know this is a topic that has been beat to death for many cars, but its beginning to irritate me. so far I've changed the fuel filter, Air filter, O2 sensor, belts, cleaned the throttle body, maf sensor, IAC, and now get worse FC than before. originally for 22l I could go 220-240km which was pretty good.

After changing all the normal maintenance parts the car feels like it runs a lot better, but for those same 22l I can only go about 160km.

i'm not sure if the float for the fuel gauge is just sticking down when i stop too quickly or something, but its not right

There's no black smoke coming out the tail pipe, but i can smell petrol. now im thinking I have a fuel leak somewhere, but there arent any noticeable drips. The fuel pressure regulator is leaking a bit and I've ordered a new one.

Other than changing all the fuel lines and dropping the tank I'm not quite sure where else to look. driving back and fourth to work this week ive gone about 60ish km and used 11 litres.

Any thoughts on what it might be? I'm hoping its the regulator or a hose. I don't burn any EO or coolant. Any other B14 owners have this issue?

B14 Fuel Filter

So, The Waja one and the B14 look almost the same other than width, the ones I've found online for the b14 are RM100, the ones for the Waja are Rm20. They have the same size and style fittings, should i just buy the Waja one and make it fit or keep looking for the Nissan one? I know on an n16 the filter is specific, but the b14 one is just two hoses clamped onto the filter. just not sure if the flow would be the same.

Belts For cheaper?

Anyone know a shop that carries 6pk1120 and 4pk815 for a decent price? The only places I've found so far want rm35 for the 4pk815 and rm65 for the 6pk1120.

Not sure if it normal for belts to cost this much here. Last time I had to buy a belts for a car they only cost me $3/$5USD so these prices that have been presented are a bit of a shock.

Not sure if they are odd sizes because Nissan or what.

If anyone knows a good place to find belts I'd appreciate it.

I'm going to be around Kepong looking for parts this weekend. Hopefully can find some for a decent price...

Coolant flush in Puchong

Upon inspection of my car today, (I honestly haven't had much time to go through it again since I bought it. And every time I got to look at it the car was already warmed up so I couldn't open the radiator cap. )

Anyway got. To look at it today, looks like there's nothing in there but water, and with that looks like its rusty.

Hasn't overheated doesn't leak and runs fine. But don't like the idea of rusty water instead of what's supposed to be neon green coolant.

So any suggestions on a good preferably cheap shop for this in Puchong?

I would do it but I don't exactly have access to a hose and or a place to do it

B14 Sentra Armrest lid

Like the title, I've been looking for a picture of it online but can't seem to find any. All the models I seen have the compartment but no armrest in the center.

I'd like to fix it for as cheap as possible or maybe end up having to buy new.

If anyone has a B14 and can send a picture of the armrest when it's open it would be greatly appreciated 😁

Black Cobra Car Alarm

Does anyone know how to program the remote or what to check.

Never heard of black cobra brand and can't find any instructions online. It came with the car but doesn't work at all. I would just like to have my electric door locks work with a remote.

Debating just cutting it out but don't wanna slice the wrong thing.

Finding Parts for Nissan B14

I'm having a bit of difficulty finding what the actual part number would be here or the belt type

This is the belt for the Alternator and Air-con. I really just want to have the spare parts just in case things go south with them later.

Some sellers keep trying to give me a 4PK 1108, but when i look up the replacement part it says 6PK 1120. will have to take a deeper look at the car when I pick it up from the lot to see if it has ridges or 4 on the pulleys.

Anywho, if anyone knows where to find new old stock Nissan Sentra parts it would be much appreciated because I really don't want to have to pay for shipping from the US.

Cheap second hand current choice getz vs swift

Spent the last week or so looking around at lots today alone visit about 15.

Trying to find a cheap second hand car with okay FC seem to be hard, mostly because fees dealer charges. If car is 17k on lot why is on the road close to 25k?!

So right now trying to decide between a Getz 1.4 or 1.6l or Swift.
I know that the swift is the better of the two, but price wise its starting to kill me.

I really don't mind taking a loan, but since I'm a foreigner my wife would have to take it for me. She doesn't want any loan in her name.

The Getz we can get for roughly 10-12k otr
Swift is 23-34k otr depending on features.

I'd rather have the swift because my head doesn't hit the roof (I'm 193cm tall.) or any Perodua or even an old iswara or saga. Wife being local doesn't like the local cars. Doesn't want me to get a manual. And the car has to be "pretty"

I keep telling her out of three you can only pick two. Cheap, pretty, cost effective. She wants all three.

Any suggestions? She already shot down all Perodua and all proton because they feel cheap and dangerous to her.

Goal: cheap (under 10k) pretty(newer than 2005) and cost effective (cheap to maintain and good fc)😅 oh also have to fit 4 people and be compact. She is 183cm tall as well so two tall people in front😑
