Toyota Vios 2005 need ATF oil filter change?

Hi, my car is Toyota Vios 2005. I need to change my transmission oil. The workshop from where i am about to change it they suggested me to change transmission oil filter too as i was having some transmission issues. But from the retails shop from where i bought my atf oil today (toyota type IV) they said that vios doesn’t need any atf filter change as this filter is placed deep inside the gearbox and not recommended to change. I am now confused is it really like that? Or the retailer didnt have it thats why they told me so or my workshop is saying wrong? Any suggestions ?

Vios 2005 Engine light On, URGENT HELP

Hi, my car is toyota vios 2005. Since today afternoon my ENGINE WARNING light is on, few hours before the light turned on i the car was shaking while acceleration for few seconds; but while neutral or stop it was normal. Since the light is on i am still feeling the shaking of car while acceleration for few moments but once i accelerate more it becomes ok. Just two days back i changed my spark plugs, i installed NGK G-POWER PLATINUM ALLOYS spark plug also installed a brand new battery few days back. For last few months i had some abnormal noises coming from engine belt, also fuel consumption increased a bit (like 30/40 km less than before in full tank). Really worried what could be the problem? is it the new spark plug? or anything from fuel injector or catalytic converter? not sure if the workshop is open tomorrow or not, i am living in Kota bharu not in KL. thanks in advance.

Front wheel getting HOT, burning smell,brake jam

Hi, I drive Toyota Vios 2005. for last few weeks, I am having trouble with my front wheel brake. After driving 10-15 mins the brake is getting jammed. If I turn off the car and wait few minutes it becomes ok. Same time the front wheels get hotter after driving a while. Usually, brake jamming happens only on left side. I showed it to a workshop where I usually go, they said I need to change brake booster. He gave me an estimated cost of second-hand brake booster 380rm (including master pump, as he said he cant find only brake booster). then I showed to two other workshops, both of them did servicing of piston kit of the left side. Still, the problem was there, then one workshop today found power steering oil in brake pump instead of brake oil. he cleaned it and said should be alright now. But I am still feeling that both front rims are getting hotter than normal. Also, the brake pedal has become too soft. Last two workshop said my brake booster is ok. Really confused now, should simply change the brake booster or it could be any other problem? need suggestion. TIA

Got hit by car, insurance problem. URGENT HELP

just day before yesterday I got hit by a car from the back side. I made police report also the car hit me made police report. My insurance is third party insurance covering theft and fire only. (AXA). I went to the workshop that was referred by the owner of the hit car, workshop told me that it will cost me 4000rm and this bill will not be covered by my insurance company as mine is third party. they said the bill has to be maid by me or the owner of that car and can be claimed later from the insurance company of the hit car later. They said total claiming process might take 6 months. I am just a foreigner masters student here and now at the end of my study. I cant pay 4000rm to the workshop now. The workshop even told me that even if i pay 4000rm now i can claim around 5000/6000rm from insurance company(claiming for not not able to use the car for repairing time and hiring other car for my use). My concern is only to fix the car, i dont need any extra money. i tried to convince the owner of that car to pay the bill now and claim back from the insurance later, he can even get the extra money from them. tried a lot to convince him telling my situation. he is not convinced, telling me sorry he cant pay. i dont know anythig about the system of claiming from car who hit u. Can anyone help me? What should i do? i dont want to be in any hasstle of long claiming process. im planning to go to his insurance company and try to discuss with them? outside workshop other than the one he referred (affiliated by insurance cmpany) the repair cost will be around 1500rm. can anyone please help me on this matter? would be very much greatful.

I am planning to buy iPhone 8 plus. But my budget is not matching the price to buy from an authorized reseller. So, I am thinking to buy from other sources. Can anyone suggest me what are the other options to buy cheaper iPhone? I saw in lazada,lelong, 11street some cheap ip8+ but i prefer more buying walk in from shop or any source. Are there any reliable shops in the lowyat plaza? also any shops in KL? please suggest me. i live in Kota Bharu and coming to KL next week in sha ALLAH so planning to buy it from KL. I am not a malaysian citizen so I got less idea regarding these.... Thanks in advance

Suggestion for a SUV under 25K

Hi, i am now driving toyota Vios 2005 E. The car is good in mean of fuel consumption. But for stability its a very bad car for me. FC is a very important factor for me. Previousely i had Proton Persona 2007, and my experience was really bad cause i could hardly manage 6/7km per litre. Sometimes i got 5km/L too. Sold it few months back and bought VIOS. But little i know the car is very much unstable while driving at high speed (around 90kmph++) had few incident because of this stability problem so im planning to sell it now and looking for a SUV. I will leave Malaysia within one year in sha ALLAH as im a masters studnet in USM. My priority is fuel connsumption and good resell value. Maximum budget is around 23/24K rm. Some of my freind suggested Honda CRV but im still confused, can anyone suggest me what will be the better choice within this range? SUV or any high cc car like camry? i prefer SUV. Thank you very much

Hi, I'm planning to change my tire to falken 832. any review on it? my car is a Vios 2005. I will leave Malaysia after 1 year hopefully. So, was looking for something cheap but fuel economic and good gripping. One of my friend is selling his car, I planning to swipe my tire with his. he agreed four tyres for 350rm. he drove his car around 50Km after buying the tyre so its almost brand new. Any suggestion? or should I buy other brand tyre? one of the mechanic here told me Falken tyre is not good for high speed. in highway it cause lots of shaking.

Help to decide buy car

Hi all.
I am a foreigner student in USM, i am planning to buy a used car. I had persona 2007-Hline. Just sold it yesterday because i spent too much for the maintainence of this car and fc was very high. My budget for next car is maximum 23/24K. My choice is - Toyota Vios(1st gen), Myvi 1.3/1.5 or any other model that u advise. (i personally dont like saga, axia, viva). I am mostly a city driver but i sometimes travel to Kuala lampur (i stay in Kota Bharu) i will return back to my country within one year in sha ALLAH. Just need few advice regarding which model will be better for me? my consideration is fuel consumption, low maintainence, safety(as i have small kid) If toyota vios which model year will be better? if myvi(2010-2013) than is there any major difference in terms of fc between 1.3 and 1.5? or do you suggest any other model within this budget? Also, what are the good places to buy used car in KL?

Hi, i am a bangladeshi student living in kota bharu. planning to drive to KL and some other places in this hari raya. Whenever i drive in highway always scared of speed cam here in malaysia. Not a very fast driverm but sometimes 10/20 km above the speed limit. So, how exactly i can know where is the camera location. i tried waze, aes, all android app, but they seem giving wrong info in highway from Kota bharu to KL, i use route E8 ususally. Waze is good in KL, but in the ekspressway dont find it very useful in detecting speed cam. Last time while driving in E8 i saw too many speed cam sign post beside road. But not sure is there really so many camera or not. So, i am planning to buy Garmin or any other brand GPS navigation system. can anyone suggest me that will help me? also, which navigation device will help me better for this problem of mine
?? Found Nuvi42LM by Garmin is around 381rm here which is the cheapest i guess from GArmin. thank you.

Fuel Consumption too high in my proton persona :'(

Hi,
I just bought 2007 Proton Persona H-line (used) 3/4 months back. Having a very bad fc from the beginning, it goes only 230km if i fill up my tank full (usually 33/34 litre). Mostly city drive. As i live in kota bharu, lots of traffic. If i reset the odometer it shows initially sometimes 18/19 L/100KM, but in long free road if i reset it shows 7/8L per 100KM. This is the main problem now, as i am a foreigner student in university sains malaysia in kota bharu i got very less idea where to go exactly to fix this fc problem. its ripping me off. :'( The car runs high rpm while driving, specially once i cross 75km/h speed the rpm goes pretty high(upto 3000). After 75km/h speed the rpm keeps going up. feels like the gear not changing properly after 75kmph. After this speed as long as i press the accelerator the speed goes up along with the very fast rising rpm, to cross 100kmph i have to touch 3300++ rpm. from most of the forum here got to understand the car shoud go at least 320/350 m for full tank. Can anyone suggest me what exactly might be the problem?
