Hi ladies, I'm just curious when you ladies start changing to maternity wear?

I'm 4 months now and I can still wear most of my original clothes, granted that they are usually a bit loose and not the body-fitting type.

I'm just wondering, how big can a lady's belly get during pregnancy (like how many times the original size) and when did it occur to you to start changing to your "uniform" <-- as my mum calls it.

What should expecting mummies eat?

Recently just realized that milo also contains caffeine, and anything with chocolate contains a bit of it too...tea also cannot...

now wondering what are the best things to eat/drink when one is expecting.

I know some people who don't really mind and just eat it anyway, but i'm just trying to get some feedback as well for those who do.

Can you all advise?

Hi spotted a nice sofa there at Monzio Italy puchong - 2020 furniture mall there..

Been trying to look for reviews online or on LYN but doesn't seem like there is much info. The shop there says 8th year anniversary but the official site macam say only 1 year...

I'm just wondering if any sifu out there bought things from there before? The design there looks pretty classy and good quality but of course, is always hard to tell for sure.

I have recently gotten confirmation that my PTPTN has switched over to Ujrah, a few months after my application.

So, paying using maybank2u, which nombor rujukan should I be referring to now?

The old one (conventional) or the new Ujrah one? (Which I don't know which is the correct number, and when I e-mail the PTPTN agency they just did not reply my e-mail, sent more than 3 times d...

Hey guise I'm sure you realize sometimes when you join general chat, there are only 7 or 8 ppl in it, but I saw my hubby playing it on another machine he has like 50+ ppl in the general chat.

Is there different general chat chatrooms?

Btw I also noticed that my language set in the accounts option is set to Southeast asia rather than English, while my hubby's stated as English, even tho the server both pointed to Americas. I do not have the English option...

Any sifu can advise here?

How to call LHDN?

Been trying to call the toll-free number for a few days, keep getting disconnected. Just now also I tried to call the Inland Revenue Board at 8:50AM in the morning (Today is Wed, not a public holiday) at 1300-88-3010, they proceeded to tell me the working hours are from 7:30AM to 5:30PM from Mondays to Fridays, directed me to call 03-42893636, and ended my call. The 03-42893636 number requires me to key in an announcement code, and I cannot proceed without one ...

Question 1: How do I know if they've accepted my payment successfully?
Question 2: How to reach them? They're not making anyone's lives easier... >.<;;

I've posted this Q in the income tax column in LYN but I think the serious kopitiam has a wider audience.

And i've tried calling them a few times, with a few hours apart...

Condo or landed? (Around USJ)

Hi folks, I'm looking to buy my first property for own staying, can sifu-sekalian advise what would be a better choice?

- Condo?

- Landed housing?

I'm targetting area around USJ/Putra Heights, budget for condo preferably between 300k-350k, if not condo maybe a good apartment is ok too (janji not the low-cost area with lots of rempit - u know what I mean)

For landed housing, budget around 400k-450k, prefer 2 storey and not so near to mosque area (I work odd hours so sked can't sleep) or in front of T-junction...

What would be better? In your opinion? Get a leasehold condo for the price of a landed house?

Or Get a cheaper house far away from USJ?

What about the my first housing scheme from gov for less than 300k? Anyone know where I can find those?

I really like the can-shaped cups, and as you know la, buying to collect is one thing but if I wana use it, like really use it for serving drinks when guests come over I'll probably need a few of the same ones, baru nais mah..

So how much would you sell it (don't forget it comes free with a large mcvalue meal + sundae) for, if you don't really need it?
(Yes I know the cost is "hidden" in the meal+sundae etc)

Serious post please, I'm really thinking of getting more cups, but wincing at the idea of having more McD for the rest of the week...

Eating after tooth extraction

So I had an impacted molar just in front of the wisdom tooth, and had to have it extracted because it was damaged..
This taught me a lesson to not just ignore or endure it if there is any pain...

The procedure was in the morning around 10-ish, and so far until now I've only had a packet of milk... and then my antibiotic...

What are your experiences and what do you eat/do after a tooth extraction? Do share

Not many companies seem to have it, and just by googling it there isn't much results, I think those jobsearch sites doesn't have much info on it too.

Albeit being in the working field for a few years I've only quit from one company to go to another, and the first one was because contract expired. So I have nearly zero experience on these kind of things.

I'd like to ask the opinion and experience of the sifu-sifus out there, how does counter offer work?

Though there's no black n white yet, but let's say I'm offered position X, and my current manager expressed a possible chance to counter offer.

How does that work? Must I like, see the actual offer letter from position X first to confirm the amount?

What if they don't give me ample time to consider, but just say: You are requested to come at XXX date to sign your offer letter. (That means I won't see it before I am supposed to sign it right?)

How does my manager counter offer if they wish to do so?

Personal dilemma on career choice

I rarely open such a topic, if ever... but there is no where else I can think of asking this.

Option 1: current company which i've stayed for 4 years but in 3 departments doing different tasks, lots of friends, good environment+good benefits (MNC), wears jeans to work, good prospect - possible promotion, good visibility and people appreciates my work. However no adjustment after moving upward few job codes, increment is like RM100+ only, bonus is less than one third of a month, even my boss is facing the same prob (meaning she can't help herself too) and it may not change in the foreseeable future. If I request to go to a different dept with higher job code, chances are I will still get the same salary (since 4 years back). Other people who've done so are requested to double-hat or triple-hat, lots of experience, do until die but no additional compensation.

Option 2: possible future company, being headhunted by an ex colleague, salary is good (think approximately 50-60% extra of what i'm getting right now), benefits are so so, okay environment (MNC too), an upward move handling more responsibilities, possible the path for me into management, however I will have no close friends, downgraded working environment (perhaps not even my own proper desk), and have to wear formal to work most of the time, and no maternity coverage for insurance. <-- hey i'm a girl so i take into account things like these too.

Been agonizing over my salary for a long time so I've decided to take action, but now i'm also agonizing about leaving my current company to which it's like a family to me...

I've probably made up my mind about it but would still like to see how other people would handle this. Your thoughts?
