Vibram USA, the makers of the glove-like FiveFingers running shoes, has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit against them that alleged they made false and unsubstantiated claims about the health benefits their footwear.

Consumers who purchased a pair of the shoes between March 21, 2009 and the date of the first dissemination of summary settlement notice or class notice, will be eligible for a refund of up to $94 per pair.

Class members can submit a claim for up to two pairs of shoes without any kind of receipt or proof of purchase, though the company can request proof of purchase at any time.

The class-action suit was brought against Vibram in March 2012. Valerie Bezdek filed the complaint in Massachusetts and said that Vibram deceived customers by advertising that their shoes could reduce foot injuries and strengthen foot muscles.

The company has denied any wrongdoing alleged in the suit. They settled to put the matter to rest and avoid any additional legal expenses.

Vibram will deposit $3.75 million into an escrow account to distribute to consumers who make claims.

The company will soon establish a website where consumers can make their claims. The company is also required to post banner ads with the settlement information on a number of websites, including runnersworld.com and Facebook.com, in order to deliver approximately 300,000,000 impressions.

Need urgent help regarding P1 Wimax

Hi

I am one of the first user of P1 WiMax from 2008 to 2009.

At that point of time, there is an option either to buy the modem for a year contract, if not I will have a 2 year contract. so I choose to pay for the modem.

After a year contract finish I have cancel my subscription, at that point of time they do not request me to return the modem, so I throw my contract and modem away.

Right know, after 6 years I have issue with P1 when they ask to return the modem that I have already paid, and still continue my subscription. WTH..

so I need the old contract years 2008 copy to show to them, what stated in that contract is different then what they updated.

Please help me.

p1 currently really problematic, only faster during office hour, at night like snail... or maybe because i hv using for a year and they want to me change other broadband... hmm

problem:

there is no connection on weekend, its been 2 weeks already and 2 continuous weekend i have no connection until this morning (16feb2009), the speed is great on weekdays but

why no connection on weekend including this morning ?

note: the p1 wimax station located 200m from my house, and i have paid my first month bill.

i hv report to the call center , they said they will follow up about this matter, but they still havent call me until today, please don't let your customer hanging/wondering.
