COMFYUI for image text video AI offline

upcars — Fri, 25 Sep 2026 00:11:36 +0800

a few ppl had pm me about this previously, didnt really have time to reply but basically because i'm in the sticker business and i generate quite a lot of quick images (before proofing and modifying by the creative dept)
i use AI generation alot.

Offline allows u to generate for FREE ! but it comes with requirements.
ONLINE is much faster but u can be serious it eats up your credits fast (yes u need to pay to use their servers to process on cloud and its very costly)

Bringing it offline comes with loads of restrictions and mainly it is your HARDWARE that restricts it. RTX series with 6gb vram is minimum at this stage. I'm currently on the bare minimum as well, RTX 3060 with 6gb VRAM. i can generate quite a fair bit of pictures BUT my videos are restricted to lower resolutions (504) and the time consumed to generate a 5 second clip at that resolution is around 13 minutes (using LTX 2 or scail 2) These are just examples mind u.

So the pros of bringing the system offline is
1 - u no need to pay or purchase credits
2 - u can make as many mistakes and regenerate the videos

and the cons
1 - time to completion is looooooooooong. very hardware dependant.
2 - every video or audio generated is limited but nobody knows the limit until your system flashes "OOM" (out of memory)
3 - for a RTX 3060 with 6gb VRAM, 5-7 seconds max on lower resolution. DONT bother adding a node to upscale. confirm will "OOM"

the pros of having it online on cloud processing

1 - much faster speeds and your computer wont be spinning the fans at max revs
2 - u can still surf lyn and play dota 5.84c while the processing is done at their servers

the cons
1 - credits need purchase with real money and it really empties FAST
2 - not much headroom to regenerate or make mistakes or make repairs as everything processed on cloud costs $$$$

So for starters and beginners who just wanna play and try,

watch this few minutes video from a sifu

and

Why i recommend comfyui ? cause it is lightweight and simple.
What is comfyui ? think of it as an empty car waiting to run.
What is workflow ? think of it as the engine u gonna fit into that car to make it run. imagine this, u wanna run on a highway, u want something economical, so u fit in a diesel engine cause they are economical. So in this workflow, u choose an engine that suits what u gonna design, if u wanna create kungfu fighting scenes, u can use minimax workflow which is very good at this sort of scene, i like doing character transfers meaning use a picture and make a video out of it, so i use scail 2 workflow which is top notch at it etc etc etc.
How to know which workflow good for what ? kevin sifu's youtube page got tons of explanation or use the generic ones like LTX or

after watching those 2 videos by sifu kevin, i'm sure u can roughly start messing around liao. There are more tutorials, complete 1 hour long videos on comfyui or a specific workflow. The advance levels will start messing with nodes. For those who are beginners, just use comfyui and whatever workflow u require (LTX 2.3 is lightweight for low memory computers, scail2 is good for character replacement but medium level on resources, H3 i havent played yet, Kling and nanobanana good for animation etc etc

Once u have reached a point where u wanna explore others, i'd highly recommend PINOKIO. its like the mother of all softwares. u can use pinokio to download comfyui, wan2 etc etc etc blah blah blah, and then download and run the tons and tons of workflow.

again allow me to stress, for those beginners or newbies, try comfyui first. watch the video, its only few minutes and would give u a better understanding.

All the best and have fun generating images/videos/audio/large language models LLM !

Old mobile phones how to sell or dispose ?

upcars — Mon, 31 Aug 2026 02:12:40 +0800

i have some old mobile phones, they are all in working condition except for the green line issue or pink line issue. galaxy z flip 3 and 4 and i think oneplus 8 pro.
they all consist of either a green line or pink line disease.

can sell ah in this condition and to whom ?
if need dispose, how do i dispose ? not sure if those ikea recycle take or not and even if they do which bin i put ah ?

throwing in directly into tong sampah isnt ethical so hopefully some of u all know how i can dispose these or sell these. someone did tell me to fix it and then sell it, but i worry the cost of repair will exceed the phone value. these aren't exactly new phones and neither are they valueable ones.
