Dear all,

I just got this router modem (Linksys WRT54G2), the problem is i cannot get the DSL signal from Streamyx. Have tried at my friends place also the same. However when i bring it back to the shop i bought it from, he is able to get the DSL signal and also connect using my user account.

Anyone encounter this before? Kindly assist, thank you!

I'm having this problem. Whenever I watch movie or play any games on my computer, it will just hang just after abt 30 seconds of playback or few minutes of gaming.

My graphic card is Xpert Vision Geforce 9600 512MB and monitor is LG L194WT.

I'm using the latest nvidia driver for the card type.

Just wonder is it my graphic card is spoilt?

I have re-installed my Windows XP. Check and changed all my cables.

My Computer Specs. Just got it about 3 weeks ago and the problem happen ever since i got the PC.

1. Xpert Vision Geforce 9600 GT - 512MB
2. Pentium Core 2 Due E8400 - 1333Mhz 6mb 3.0ghz
3. Corsair XMS2 PC6400 Ram - 2x 1Gb
4. Asus Intel P45 P5Q Mainboard S775
5. 320Gb Seagate Sata2 hdd
6. CoolerMaster 500watts PSU

Furthermore, if i play the video from the external hdd via usb, everythings seems to go smoothly. I have reformated all the internal hdd and also re-installed my OS already. But the problem seems to be still there.

PC Hangs When Watching Movie

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2.

Just wondering any bro here experiance anything like me before.

When I watch any movie such as RMVB, AVI or DVD. My PC will hang completely after playing for awhile.

However when i play it thru my external hdd connected via USB, this problem does not occur.

Hope all bros out there can assist in my problem. Thank you in advanced!

Just wanna enquire from any tech master out there. What is the difference between ADSL, ADSL 2 & ADSL 2+?
Does the difference type makes my connection faster?
I'm currently using an ADSL router modem which i subscribe for Basic 1M of Streamyx. The problem is I can't get the connection speed of even above 450kbps.
Just wonder if i change my modem to the latest ADSL2+ modem will get me what i paid for which is 1M?
