Near sight getting worse... what glasses u use?

After entering 40-series... my near vision gets worse (aka presbyopia)... I know this is part of aging and I think many k-tards here that joined pre-2010 also maybe have same issue if not become senile already...

Nowadays I have to bring along glasses everywhere I go... I bought a lot of those cheapo RM2.60 reading glasses from MrDIY or similar stores and put the glasses in between by top most button collar...

Those glasses... cheapo as they come... does help a lot with my reading habbits...

Any difference if I buy kayangan glasses from Essilor and such?

I am TMnut Unifi user since 2012. Never change ISP.
Currently I'm paying RM265/month for 800Mbps (after upgrade from 500Mbps) + Ultimate Unifi TV pack...

I saw that ad from CelcomDigi - RM105 for 1Gbps = very2 tempting...
this one not share infra with TMnut...

They got pacak their own tiang and their own fiber box on that tiang in front of my house next to TMnut tiang...
I was told that it was under Celcom Timur Sabah company, nothing to do anymore with TMnut:

but, people say downside is:

- CelcomDigi uses private IPs for their fiber internet instead of public IPs that TMnut uses... effect is - can kacau CCTV, cause lag, kacau P2P, kacau hosting server etc...

Me buying a spare/backup motor... probably going to use it for daily use to work, easier to cilok2 than my Kawasaki Vulcan S...

Some have rekomended scooter, but finally i think kapcai still preferable... anywhere in Sabah can repair... plus roads in Sabah nokHaroommm...

So it comes down to these two choices...

Price in KK, Sabah after survey several dealers:

- Honda Wave Alpha 110i = RM5700 OTR
- SYM Sport Rider 125i = RM5750 OTR

both new and ready stock...

Any input/views/comments/experience to share?

Note: me maybe keeping the Vulcan for now...

Eyes not good as before...

Near vision for reading getting worse... like my dad also...
kenot read well without glasses...

now me using Mr.DIY RM2.60 glasses for reading... bought two, one is power at 1.5 and the other at 2.0...

Sometimes pening using those...

Any difference if i make these reading glasses at kedai spec/optician? or the cheapo gooding already...

So, Ive been using motor since 17y.o... me now is 40+ years old...

from:

EX5 (my dad's, form 4-5)

->Honda Ex5 Class 1 (mine, used during STPM years/Form 6)

->Comel Perantau 150cc (crap motorcycle) (used less 1 year)

->Modenas Jaguh 175cc (used during my 1st degree years 2004-2007)

->Bajaj Avenger 220cc (while in med school and parts of my early working life)

->Kawasaki Vulcan S 650cc (2015-now)...

...somehow I feel like retiring high cc biking and go back to old school kapcai... i use mainly for go back and forth to work only, no rempit2 (me cruiser biker)... even on my Vulcan S, i rarely do above 90km/hour during commute...

Some reasons I am considering this include:

- Less headaches, simpler maintenance if rosak.
- cheaper maintenance (i can still very well maintain the Vulcan S, but this is not the main reason I want to down grade)
- no longer have feel to go across country.
- easier to cilok in traffic jams
- cheaper cost of commuting (650cc - 14liters tank)
- lighter weight

Some contras I can think of:

- less macho if use kapcai (not that Im looking for new siham, im married to one already)
- cannot go far2 with comfort of cruiser bike
- small tank (i think got kapcai 5 liter tank)
- no need clutch (despite me using it for over 20 years)

what do //k bikers think?

[Shopee] - J&T f*cked up, I get FREE item & REFUND

So...
A strange thing happened...

On 12th June I placed an order for a RM1k item...
Shopee tracking says - J&T is handling the item...

Expected delivery date was on 17th of June...

However... since 14th of June... item still stuck NOT MOVING AT ALL at J&T JTI FREIGHT 999 (item bound for Sabah)...

On 17th June - item still stuck there... no update at all.. Shopee system says give chance another 4 days, promised it will arrive...

4 days gone... its 23rd already... suddenly shopee system says - "Item reported to be LOST" and shopee says it will proceed to refund...

LO AND BEHOLD...

Item suddenly arrived on 25th... but system says already Lost...
Also... I got the refund back to my Credit Card...

So now... I got both the item... AND the refund...

So:

1. What do I do now? Shopee havent called me about it, I dont see any mechanism to settle this.
2. Will the seller be compensated for this?
3. Should I just leave it be and say PADAN MUKAK SHOPEE & J&T for lousy service?

Anyway, I'm just going to post this to anyone that is still interested in becoming a medical doctor....

I know the demand to become medical doctors have somewhat declined these several years... but if you are still determined... here is what UKM is offering:

GRADUATE-ENTRY MEDICAL DEGREE (DOCTOR OF MEDICINE UKM)

The Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) also allows Bachelor Degree as a mean of entry into medical program as stated in their website (see page 214):

Some show 'recorder notes' in Baroque style but THEY USE German style recorder.

[DB Box] Good price or rip-off charge?

So my parents went to change their house single phase Distribution Board Box (DB Box) that is almost 30 y.o because some tripping issues.

They got charged for RM1890 for materials and labor by the electrician. He and his crew checked the wirings of the old house and change the old DB box to the new one (now two tier in case future additions).

No other new wiring done in other part of house, onli change DB box.

Since I am noob and so are my parents when it comes to wiring costs...

Got ripped off or not? or is it normal price nowadays?
