Question about overtime

I'm working in this company with working hours from 9.30 AM - 6.30 PM (Shift 1) and 6.30 PM (Shift 2) - 2.30 AM on alternating week basis. Means I alternate between Shift 1 and Shift 2 on weekly basis.

According to the 1 year contract, its a 5-day week Monday - Friday job. But recently, I was scheduled to work almost on all Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays just because they need to rush for the project deadline.

They said they will pay overtime x1.5 that's fine, but at times where I need to be with my family on the weekends, I told the company I can't work OT on that day. But they said, if like that I have to take AL for that OT day. WTF!??!!

So my question here is, is OT considered voluntary or compulsory if scheduled by the co. to work in Malaysia?

Unable to open filename saved with chinese

My problem:-
Unable to launch files with Chinese characters in their filename. But once rename to non-Chinese its OK. Unable to save a file with chinese name too. Affects multiple application such as Word, PDF, Notepad, etc.

PDF error message:
Error opening this document. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Attempted these steps but problem still exist:-
- Reinstalled language packs and fonts
- Updated definitions & scanned for virus
- Repaired MS-Office
- All windows patches and service packs

any form of help will be gladly appreciated.

Yahoo Mail Virus Outbreak

Hi guys,

My IT manager just informed of us of a virus outbreak on Yahoo! Mail. It infects your PC by just logging into your mail account. Does anyone has the same problem?
