DEBATE:Why people still discouraging tree cutting?

Plantation is the only way to absorb carbon dioxide, and why the NGO still banning tree cutting? If forest plantation is banned, then there will be no economic motive to plant trees, global warming issues will just keep growing. Anyone have some thoughts about this?

I read from some sources, that wood products can store carbon. Means that all the plants absorb carbon dioxide to produce food and release oxygen for the other organisms, the carbon tends to stay inside the plants. So basically, wood product is storing carbon in a solid way, and that is reducing carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Fossil fuels is another example of carbon storage from a few hundred millions years back. Right now we are just re-releasing the stored carbon into our atmosphere which cause carbon overload and lead to global warming.

But what if we start to use trees as our fuel? In this way we are just keep recycling the carbon emission process. The amount carbon will just goes around the cycle, and it wont increase when compared to the usage of fossil fuels which keep emitting carbon.

Please share your thought regarding this. Sorry for my poor English. Peace.

Minimum Laptop spec for CFD Simulation

Hi all,

I need the opinion from you guys regarding the minimum requirement for a laptop to be able to run CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) simulation software. The software that I might be used are PyFR, OpenFoam, and ANYSY. There is also possibility of using other software. My budget are around RM3500. Which brand of laptop are you guys suggesting? What is the processor, graphic card, RAM and other requirement? Thank in advanced!
