GUIDELINES TO USE OUR SERVICE FOR THE RENEWAL OF BUSINESS REGISTRATION

Step1 : Just Provide us your Business Registration Certificate – Form D
Note: Certificate of business registration may be renewed at any time
before the expiry date up to twelve (12) months after the expiry date.

Information needed : Business name and Business Registration Number, your contact number and name

Step 2: Make Payment to us

SSM Renewal Fee
1. Sole proprietorship using personal name as in identity card –RM30.00
2. Sole proprietorship or a partnership using trade name -RM60.00
3. Registration of branches – RM5.00 for each branch
4. Business Information Print-out – RM10.60 (with GST)

General Guideline
1. Renewal of Business Registration can be made for a period of
one (1) year and not more than five (5) years.
2. Business Registration Certificate can be obtained after the renewal process is done
3. Any person who continues to carry on any business After the period of registration expired commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two (2) years or both.

Compliance and Cost to maintain a Company in M'sia

These are the compliance that must be followed accordingly.

Audit
Every company must perform audit annually within 6 months of its financial year ended and submit the audited report within 1 month after it have been circulated by the members. If fail to do so, the penalty for late filling will be from RM50-RM200.

Tax Submission
Every company must submit their Form C annually within 7 months of its financial year ended. If fail to submit the tax return on time will result in a penalty of RM300 to RM20,000.
If the Company is in a tax payable position, 10% penalty will be imposed to your Company for late payment and 20% - 35% of the tax payable for late submission.

Below is the submission for the particular tax forms every year:
*Form E - due date is before 31 March
*Form CP204 - due date is one month before the starting of financial year
Form CP204A- 6th month revision – due date is the 6th month of the financial year
Form CP204A-9th month revision – due date is the 9th month of the financial year

*If fail to submit the tax return on time will result in a penalty of RM300 to RM20,000.

Others:-
For new company, you must register tax file number with LHDN.
The application can be done through
1. LHDN counter
2. E-Daftar
3. Seek for tax agent service

Secretary
- Annual return must lodged within 30 days of anniversary of incorporation date.
- Audited report or financial statement must be lodged within one month of after it is circulated by the members.
- Any company events such as appointment & resignation of directors, secretary, transfer of share etc. , must inform the company secretary to prepare the necessary documents and lodged to SSM.

GST Registration
The company is required to register for GST if the *turnover* is more than RM 500,000.
*annual taxable turnover is measured over the 12-month period starting at the beginning of the current month
Penalty for late registration is from RM 1500 per month.

Example : If your turn over is approximately RM 500k, audit fee will be RM 2,440.00

Book-keeping
Book-keeping fee is based on volume of transactions.
