Can I get a job as FRM ( Finance Risk Manager )

Hi guys , I am a Mathematics Degree year 3 and I have a friend who are interested in risk management ( He is also a math students ) and is considering to take FRM courses . Do you guys think it is good add-on for him to get a job in risk management aside from his math degree ?

PS: Kindly remind that he just completed the exams , but it's still not enough for him to become a holder. So do not confuse with those people who are really FRM holder with related working experiences.

MyBrain Sc scolarship

Does anyone applying for the Mybrain sc scholarship for degree level ? How was the five years contract run? Is it a must for me to come out and work immediately after I finished degree ? Or I can choose to further my studies until before I come to service ?

Remember this is mybrain sc , not mybrain , I made a wrong thread yesterday .

Hi guys , I am here for a question on the process of applying Phd . DOES the application for RESEARCH PROGRAMS in various university happens throughout the year or there is some specific time or deadlines ?

I am particularly interested in local U like UM , USM and Singapore Local U which is NUS. Thanks .

KL or Penang

Recently I got two job offers , one of them from kl , another one from penang. For Penang , the salary was roughly 2.5k per month whereas for kl , the salary would be 3k per month . In terms of living cost , which one can afford more comfortable life ?

Should I buy a surface 3

As far as i have known , surface 3 was a great product for university studies . But I have also heard that Microsoft decided to stop the productions of surface 3 in the end of this year . There is also some rumours that they will not come out with surface 4 next year . Should I buy a surface 3 right now or hoping for a surface 4 next year ?

pS: I don't need surface pro series as I think it is overpriced and a surface should be enough for my daily use.

How to get over the bad grades

I have just entered university and I just did it badly for the first semester , (perhaps I cannot adopt with a sudden change in teaching and lifestyle ) , with just 3.3-3.4 cgpa for the first semester . Is it possible for me to drag back my cgpa to some extent in the future , for example around 3.8 ? The reason for this was I am dedicated to pursue PhD in the future , so i need a "pretty " grade for it . I was not a bad student but I was just shocked when I cannot adopt myself to uni life and get a bad grade .

Does anyone face this situation before ? How to get over this ? Thanks .
