Expensive Dining for Instagram

It seems like a trend.

Going to beautiful eateries where a meal costs RM25 and above and a drink cost RM15 and above. And it's a must to upload it on social media.

The thing is, people are going to these places as if like having daily meals. And they are not company directors or managers but young workers and even students.

I still remember when I was a kid, going to Mc Donald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken was like a big thing. On special rare occasion, parents will bring us to Kelana Jaya Steamboat. In fact, I remember that my parents only brought us once to Victoria Station at Jalan Ampang.

My parents are not poor and so are my childhood friends. We just think it's ridiculous to pay so much when the money can be spent on other things.

I'm just wondering if these people really know what good food is. I don't think good food must be expensive. I have attended training, seminar, talks at big hotels. I'm confident to say that the food served are nothing to be impressed about. Hawker food is much better!

It seems like people who go there to show off by uploading it on social media when the food served is nothing to be shout about.

Example of expensive restaurants: Ben's, Jibby & Co, Peter & Mawar, Melur & Thyme, Serai, Delicious etc. I only got to know some of the establishments due to people posting it on social media

Mentality of Maxis Subscribers

We have heard the saying, "In the past, this party will surely gets it votes from their supporters even if you put a monkey for the party's candidate".

Does this describe users of Maxis too? Despite, higher charges, lower data allocation and bad services (thus the term Maxshit), there are still users who are loyal to Maxis eventhough their loyalty does not mean anything to the company.

In fact, there are many write ups and comparisons which show Maxis is no longer the best like it used to be.

Why do you stay with Maxis? Is it due to cool factor/glamour?

Most people subscribe to Celcom/Maxis/Digi/Umobile.

If you use other than telco giants mentioned above, which telco company are you currently subscribing to?

What's the story behind subscribing to non-mainstream telco?

Is it better than Celcom/Digi/Maxis/Umobile in terms of service/coverage/value-for-money?

Convince us Maxis/Celcom/Digi/Umobile users.

Unlimited Data!

I would rather have unlimited data plan without phone call quota at all!

Anyone share the same view?

Hope one of the telcos in Malaysia will offer this plan soon as countries like UK, US, Australia have this type of plan where they just offer unlimited data without phone call quota. Even if they do offer, it should be at the minimum. Say 30 mins per month, to be used during emergency.

If this type of plan exists in the future, how much should telcos charge for this plan?
