Asus Lamborghini VX7SX

Assalamu'alaikum WBT / Good Afternoon,

Been going through all the threads here, and hopefully this is a new thread on the product

Just got mine early February @ PC3 LYP, and carried it all the way to South Sudan (yeah, that far !!)

Copy paste on the specs :

Processor
The Lamborghini VX7SX has a 2nd Gen Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.2GHz), a high-end processor that can run intensive software and productivity applications without any difficulty. It can burst up to 3.1GHz using Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology if a particularly demanding program is running.

Graphics
It has a dedicated graphics card called the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M. This is an entry-level high-end card that will easily run most modern games at high to ultra-high settings.

RAM
It has an enormous 16GB of RAM, which allows for multi-tasking with exceptionally demanding software. It’s also more than enough for just about any image or video editing tasks.

Storage
It has an enormous 1,500GB of hard disk drive storage. This can store heaps of media content, including burnt Blu-ray movies. (I got extra 500GB Asus Online Storage - Making it 2 TB )

Screen
It has a 15.6in (1,920x1,080 resolution) gloss screen. This is the native resolution of Blu-ray movies, so they’ll be shown in their full glory. (Sorry guys, no 3D here )

Portability
The Lamborghini VX7SX isn’t really very portable, because it weighs 3.82kg and is 59mm thick. This will likely live on a desk and only move around if absolutely necessary. (Really ? I'm carrying it everyday LOL )

Other Features
It has a Blu-ray burner, which allows it to play Blu-ray movies or rip them to its storage.

Finished Dead Space 2, NFS The Run, Crysis 2, Fear 3 and Deus Ex : HR all at extreme settings with no lags !!

I had a choice between the VX7 and G7x, which has the same price tag at RM5999. However, I settled down with the VX7 due to it's looks, better keyboard feel (I'm using it for work as well), as well as more better mobility compared to a 17" monster

Truly impressed with the performance of the laptop. I'm carrying it to and from my office which is around 500m walking distance, and found out that it's a good replacement for a 4 kg dumbbell

Anyone else using this baby ?

[addedon]April 2, 2012, 2:38 pm[/addedon]Oh yeah, forgot to mention on the packaging...oh well I don't want to spoil the fun, but I strongly advice for those planning to get one, make sure you DRIVE there...I won't be responsible if you have a tough time bringing it back to your place LOL
