stutter in some games after installing new gpu

Hi guys.. I finally got my much needed (discrete) gpu after the whole covid+gpu-drought era relying on my trusty igpu. At first, my gaming experience was fine and neat but then when I wanna try playing games like Warframe and Valorant, my display stutters on several occasions despite maintaining a fair number of fps. Honestly, those 2 games are the least graphic intensive games I'm playing. Please share with me your insight. Thanks.

My setup:

CPU : Ryzen 5 5600G
Mobo : MSI B550m Mortar
RAM : 2pc x 8 GB Klevv Bolt X 3200mhz
GPU : Sapphire RX 6750XT 12 GB (New)
SU : FSP Hydro PTM PRO 850W (Upgraded)
STORAGE : 1 x 1 TB Toshiba P300 HDD
1 x 500 GB Galax SSD
Monitor : MSI G273QF 1440p 165Hz

Oh and yes, I cranked all the setting to highest xD For both of the games, my fps sit fairly above my monitor refresh rate. I did try to undervolt the cpu by using curve optimizer although it might not be necessary as all temp of my component never hit higher than 75 C.

*forgot to add.. gpu is mounted vertically, using pcie gen 3 riser...

is rx 470 relevant for 1440p compared to apu

apu in question is vega 7 (ryzen 5600g).

i hav a rx 470 in faulty state.. was thinkin to send it to repair.

however i wanna know if da uplift in performance, if da gpu survives would be significantly better than relying on da apu?

using it mostly for competitive fps n rpg games..

hi.. im having a big dilemma in choosing monitor for my gaming use. im stuck at either going for 1080p 240hz aoc g24g2z or going up to 1440p monitor. for 1440p, i may choose:

a) aoc q27g2s 155hz
b) msi optix g273qf 165hz
c) lg 27gp850-b (which is the most expensive 1 dat i could go)
d) ur recommendation smile.gif

main purpose will be for gaming in competitive titles like Valo n dota 2 and watching movies.

btw im now utilising da igpu of ryzen 5 5600g. im planning to get at least rtx 3060 ti after getting da monitor.

hi there..

so i have a ryzen 5600g on a msi b550m mortar. as we know, 5600g only support up to pcie 3.0 while the mobo can go up to pcie 4.0..

so my question is, will i encounter a noticeable performance loss when pairing it with rx 7000 series which support pcie 5.0?

was thinking to buy a rx 6000 series but rx 7000's is close to launch now (mayb?)

just bought a ryzen 5 5600g as both my gpu got problem.. so i guess with no discrete gpu, a mini itx would make sense for my build..

therefore, i need recommendation for a mini itx board, be it b450 or b550 with ease and reliable capabilities to oc both gpu and igpu..

As per title, the gpu (sapphire rx 470 4gb nitro+ oc) worked well on da repairman's test bench but not on my pc..

symptom :

1) gpu not detected most of the time + no display whatsoever.

2) mobo (msi b550m mortar) gave out 1 long beep n 2 short beep + red led on vga light on mobo.

3) gpu-z shown da gpu as microsoft basic display adapter? instead of rx 470 (mayb coz i didnt install da driver yet?) sumtim not detected at all.

tried but failed :

1) reflow n reball, got it checked 3x all fine on da testbench but when came back to me, just occasionally turn on (tested by repairman)

2) reflash bios 3x (btw mayb need to reflash back since i opened the gpu to clean n find out it is using elpida instead of samsung memory)
*btw da original bios got gpu clock at 1160, which is weird since i dont see any sapphire rx 470 clocked at dat speed.. hence 3x flash to find stable one. there is not to say da original 1 is unstable.. just try n error

3) updated mobo bios as well

btw, repairman ask me to test it on intel's board but will it be any difference? i dont have one but imma try at a local pc shop later..

i did even upgrade higher wattage psu just in case, but still doesnt help at all..

my questions are, what are the problem actually? im dumbfounded by dis.. btw my 2nd card is alredy dead as well..

hi fellow /k's ladies..

after my wifey gave birth to our daughter, my wife always complained to me how she lost confidence in her body especially her b00ba. she stated how she doesnt like how it looks anymore as it sags quite a lot n seems lifeless..

i asked her to put some efforts in exercise to shed of some weight n build up some muscle to overcome the after effect but yeah..

so i wanna ask our fellow ladies, what product u use to maintain it?

i hav 2 bike sitting in workshop for years now. da pomen said for da pantera, he cant find da final piece of da part which is da head's gasket. well, ive been looking around to no avail.. i really dont want to implant ex5 dna to dis bike..

can anyone help me locating any shop or agent selling parts for dis bike? i really need the head's gasket..

oh btw da 2nd one is suzuki (scrambler?.. i donno da proper model).. well dat one is missing her carbs.. hahaha dat one needed new carbs too..

hi.. my pc case have no place to mount hdd and ssd except on the bottom of the case..
coincidently, my mobo has its gpu slot which occupy 2nd n 3rd slot, which combine with hdd installed on bottom almost choke any airflow goin to da gpu..
btw, da case is in matx form with top mount psu..

so da question is, is there any hdd rack dat can be install at the odd mount in front of the case?

hi.. can anyone recommend me cpu cooler with height less than 140mm?

my 3300x now run on stock cooler and im thinking of tinkering abit on da clock speed. stock cooler wont cut it since gaming would clock me at 85c, sumtim up to 87c..

tried to look for scythe choten but cant find anyone selling it anymore..

btw i dont mind if it's tower or downdraft.. but not aio la.. no space for dat haha

u got sound, can control ur hero, cursor still there but the screen is all black..

tried ddu, fresh driver install, still not work
-dx9 , -windowed bla bla still dont work

happen after 5 min when load into dota 2..
no sign of crash, notin..

fan orientation for airflow with downdraft cooler

hi guys.. im a sucker for downdraft cpu coolers...n small cases..

therefore i need some recommendation for fan orientation for air flow and best temp possible..

im gonna use (Scythe Choten)

some explaination here...

da choten height is 120mm while da case cpu clearance is 140mm.
i think im gonna drill some hole right on top of the choten so it can draw fresh air from outside. btw i do plan to diy da side panel panel to acrylic one since da one dat came has hole on bottom..

next da case support 2 120mm fan on front and 1 80mm fan on rear side..

so the question r, should i;

a) drill a vent on top of the case so dat da psu will have its own air 'ecosystem' @ let its fan face into da case and act as exhaust as well,

b) drill some more hole (xD) on bottom side of case so gpu can draw fresh air from outside as well @ drill cutout so can install fan there (btw my gpu will use 2nd n 3rd slot of pcie which leave a tiny bit space to install fan)

c) which orientation should i use for both front and rear fan? i mean, 80mm seems too small for exhaust is it? unless da psu fan can help but im afraid da psu will get hot as well hahaha

i cant sleep thinkin about it lol.. thought wanna diy whole case but damn it is harder than it looks..

please help me so i can sleep well after dis xDDD

i need some answer on some things dat mayb worth asking.. or not (just for da sake of curiosity )

1. my proc running at 65c at idle, sumtim goes up to 75c. when gaming, can literally felt da chassis warm. normal or not? using stock cooler btw.. did refer to dis thread ( https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...plan+ryzen+3000 ) but doesnt changed much...

2. can someone point out da position of da vrm? im so confused whereabout of it.. planning to put heatsink on it. worth effort or not? mayb add 1 fan near vrm to help heat moves. should da fan be blowing or pulling da air away from mobo? i might wanna oc da proc..

3. dis one more confusing... on back side gpu write r9 370 but need r7 driver one.. if use r9 driver will hav problem... wat is it about dis card anyway?

4. my psu hav no 8-pin pcie port, only 6-pin. is it safe to use 6-pin to 8-pin adapter? wat if say wanna use gpu with 8+6 pin?

5. my case came with 3 static blink2 fan from aigo itself. last nite i open case to salin pc part to other case, found out dat molex 4-pin connecter alredy melt and stuck together. btw dis fan only hav molex connecter. i use a aftermarket 3-pin molex to connect from psu. so, wat could cause dat to happen? dat fan itself or da 3-pin molex or psu? scary yoo.. just build dis myself..

dis is quiet a long post..ahahaha.. please offer me advise n recommendation..

btw, i know dat mobo not dat good, but dats all it left in my place.. luckily still hav one.. on rack left x570 steel legend n x470 msi gaming xD..
