Travel eSim

Planning on a trip to SG next year for ~ 4 Days. Last time, I bought M1 SIM (With Unlimited data). Network was bad, data keep dropping and customer service was bad.. Waited 1 hour just to collect the SIM @ Bugis.

So this time, I'm thinking of getting those travel eSIMs; no need to collect them and activate in Malaysia, then go there straight got line.

Now, using Maxis and the roaming not worth it for the short duration and the data offered...

Any suggestions?

Currently seeing these
https://hello1010.my/products/esim-south-ea...=47191011852577
https://esimsingapore.net/

Or Shopee
https://shopee.com.my/eSIM%E3%80%90Singapor...e1-ef62bd1b6485
https://shopee.com.my/%E3%80%90Singapore-Es...40-97f23f77bc19

Windshield Rain Repellent

Now Malaysia everyday raining and my Rain X bought long time ago baru habis.

I would like to know is there any other alternative besides Rain X? I heard Glaco also not bad but some say its expansive and Rain X is the better alternative and cost wise.

I currently using PIAA Aero Vogue + Oxtra Rain guard washer fluid

** Oxtra is shit and expensive, don't recommend, last time MR Diy got sell from this brand call GetSun.. Same thing just pour into the tank that works way better then what i tried so far + cheaper.

I usually apply to all of my Windows and side mirrors.

Trying to figure out where this sound is coming!

Hi there,

Anyone with hrv's or tein endura pro plus?

I'm trying to figure out what sound is this from the front. Sound like something is lose/moving when going over bump (first link). Gone back 3 times to the place I install the absorber for a reinstall, and 3 different workshops to check/reinstall. All at the end the noise still came back after picking up from the workshop. (spend whole day there, not even 20min noise come back).

Also sometimes after driving awhile theres some spring knocking (spring bind) when turning, after driving somemore, no sound.

Noise only when going over bumps and uneven roads on lowspeed.

Car: Honda HRV 2017

Things I've changed:
Absorber (Tein endura pro) - OE spring
Absorber mounting + Bearing
Lower arm
Anti Roll bar bush
Absorber link
Steering rack (claim warranty)

YouTube pt1

YouTube pt2

Thanks in advance

Continue Maintaining or Change New Car?

Hi,

I have a 2017 Honda HRV 1.8L. Currently ~70k KM. Warranty just ended on April 2023. Car loan still has around RM 60k with around 4 years to go. (Did a refinance during MCO & didn't change back). So far no major problem but wear and tears started to come.

Currently Changed
Steering Rack - 2022 - Under warranty
Auto tensioner - 2020 - Under warranty (@46,617KM)
Absorber (Tein endura pro plus), mount (Ori Jap), bearing (Ori) - Jun 2023 - RM 3314
Lower Arm, Anti roll bar bush - Apr 2023 - RM1,230
Stabilizer Link - Jul 2023 - RM360.00

Things need to change soon:
Rear axle bush - WS quote me - RM 2680 for a new axle + labour/ If bush only RM880 + Labour (But they say alignment might off)
Auto tensioner & Belt - ~600
CVT Filter (Didn't change before) - Service booklet says no need, but many people say its a must as it's like enjin oil filter. (Why Change Engine oil and filter and CVT fluid but not CVT Filter) - ~RM700

Rear Axle need to replace due the bush started to crack and making noise. Changed Absorber due to ori one kong, which looks like causes the lower arm and rear axle bush to go too.

My point is, what's the wise choice to go for? Is it worth continuing to maintain the car and the unforeseen issues like CVT belt putus @ ~100k (Lots of complaints on FB Group), or should I sell it? I do occasionally take it outstation (highway/old roads) with fam/friends, but the majority are city driving.

For financial wise. The current market value of the car is ~RM 60K and is not under my name (Im just driving and paying/maintaining), and if a new car, it will be under my name, so lets say ~90% bank loan with a 10% D/P & max 7 years loan.

If want to change new car, would go for X50/X70 or HR-V 1.5L S. But of course, the handling and FC will no longer be the same as what I currently have.

Also, if selling the car, will the aftermarket absorber affect the price or is it better to remove, replace back the original and sell separately before selling the car? Tein endura pro plus second-hand ~RM 2.2. (I still have the old absorber, only need to pay labour)

What do you guys think? Is it a wise choice to get a new car or keep it? Thanks in Advance.
