Insurance Question

saw a pic from the article that the car got crushed. looks like total loss. how would insurance work in this regard? construction company pay for cost of the car? or is it a case of .. too bad... and hope your own insurance pays out whatever the market value of that car is.

just curious... and to be informed in case something happens. touch wood it doesnt.

but last time a barricade fell on my car when i was driving by and the steel frame or whatever punctured 2 holes and scraped 3 panels of my car and the company paid for the damages. but for some real serious damage like this how ah?
