HTC Desire or Blackberry 9700

I'm still thinking whether to get a Blackberry 9700 or HTC Desire. Please help me choose between these two. Which one is more worth it?

1. A lot of my friends using blackberry, which an advantage to use BBM for me.
2. I use internet alot also, for business and personal - email, surfing, ebaying, foruming, chatting, banking, etc
3. I don't really play games on the phone
4. Which one saves more on data transfer (for roaming purpose)

I'm tired of my old Symbian phone, so slow and browser keep crashing. I don't wanna be spendthrift since the phone still can be used but Android is so temping
