CRC errors - pls help

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 1MB
Location: SS1,PJ
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: YES. But obviously they weren't able to help. In fact, they refered me back to where I purchased my modem, and suggested I asked the shop person who sold the modem to me what's CRC errors and how to fix the problem. LOL

Personal equipment
Modem: Prolink 9000P
Router: as above
Firewall used: none

Problem details
First occurence of problem: quite some time
Problem frequency: all the time
Problem description: High errored seconds, High CRC errors, low SNR margin-10, high line attenuation (downstream)-50+

1. Can any of u sifu's out there suggest something other than go back to the shop where i bought my modem??!!
2. Could this be a reason why my BT is running super super slow these days?
