Hello Guys.... As mentioned above, would appreciate if someone could shed some light on some questions running in my mind about HDD enclosure.

1) Why most of the Enclosure max it supported Hdd size at 500GB, Why are they not supporting 1.0TB or more?

2) What is the best Enclosure with 3.5" HDD and eSATA + USB2.0 support?

3) Will my HDD die faster if I put it in external enclosure compare put it in my Casing?

Thanks in advance for you input.

Best Regards
Lan

Need some suggestion on PSU

Recently I found out that I do not have enough power from my "come with casing" power supply.

My Current spec is.
AMD Athlon X2 64 5000+
Abit NF-M2PV
Hitachi 80GB IDE HDD
WD 160BG Sata HDD
HD 4670 GC
2x2GB Ram
BenQ DVD Writer.
1x12cm Case Fan.

So I was thinking to upgrade my PSU to those 500W one. I read some review site, specially one that constantly blow those power supply just to see how good or bad the power supply really are. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/page/power. And I decided to buy The SilverStone Strider ST50F 500W PSU. Which can actually deliver more then 500W without blowing anything.

Now my question is.
1) Will it be sufficient for me with just 500W. and If I add another HDD, will it still be good enough for me.
2) I saw a lot of people, from the garage sale section selling off their SilverStone power supply, is there any problem with this power supply? Any current user with this brand and if possible using the same model out there who could share some point on it.

Thanks in advance for you input.

Best Regards

Need some helps on this please

Okay, really need some advice on this..did google for it but I have not found any solution for this one. .so I hope someone here could shed some light on my problem. I just bought a new PowerColor HD 4670 cards few days ago and I found that my C&C Red Alert3 now look awesome. But now almost every time I stop playing the game. My desktop resolution stuck at the game resolution. My Original resolution/desktop resolution is set at 1680x1050 and my in game resolution is at 1440x900. So my desktop resolution will stuck at 1440x900 after I quit the game. And it will never change back to 1680x1050 even after I try to change it manually in Desktop property or thru Catalyst Control Center. I need to reboot to get back my original resolution. I also notice that my game graphics sometimes pause for a few second with sound still playing in the background. the game resume as normal after few seconds. I am not sure if these problems are related to each other. These problems never happen b4, I was using in-board GPU before this.

Thanks in advance for anybody who could help me on this..

Dell Optiplex GX240 : RAM Problem

Recently I manage to get one Dell Optiplex GX240 from a friend who was thinking to throw it away.

After trying to turn it on, I realize that if failed to detect the SDRAM I put in. (The original SDRAM that came with it was missing )

Those SDRAM that I am testing is known good one since I am taking it from my own running system.

Now my question is that, Is there a known compatible issue between normal SDRAM and Certified Dell SDRAM?

If there is a compatible issue, where and how much will it cost me to buy a 256MB PC133 DIMM SDRAM.

if there is no issue, is it possible that I am actually having a bad motherboard?

The symptom upon booting is that it gives 1-2-3 beep tone everytime I turn it on...

Really hope someone could help me on this...

Thanks.
