hey..was browsing through Honor's website & stumbled upon this history on how EMUI begins. I thought it might be interesting to share with you guys. Quite impressed with their new skin EMUI 5. It's like a departure from their previous IOS-ish interface but still needs improvement.

Mobile Doctor is an application specifically made for Huawei USB Modems to test the Wi-Fi connectivity. Mobile Doctor Tool can diagnose and repair the common issues which users encounter when they are using Huawei Data Card or Mobile Wi-Fi. It is independent of Data Card dashboard.

The procedures to test using the Mobile Doctor
• Turn on E5(e.g. mobile Wi-Fi) products;
• Connect to computer via USB or Wi-Fi;
• Run the Mobile doctor on computer;
• Input your account log-on password;
• Start testing

You can find the account and password on your device’s product information label inside the battery cover.

The difference between Mate 9

So the newly hyped Mate 9 series has just hit our market. Huawei have launch 3 different models here in Malaysia that is the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, and Mate 9 Porsche Design. It comes with plethora of hardware & software features that I’m sure will capture the attention of high end users & buyers. So here are the differences between the 3 models offered here.

 Screen: The Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS-NEO LCD display; the Mate 9 Porsche Design and Mate 9 Pro both feature a curved 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display.

 Fingerprint sensor: The fingerprint sensor on the Mate 9 is located at the rear of the phone; the Mate 9 Porsche Design and Mate 9 Pro both use a front-mounted fingerprint sensor (which can also be used as a navigation key).

 Storage: The Mate 9 accepts two nano-SIM cards, or one nano-SIM card and one microSD card; The Mate 9 Porsche Design and Mate 9 Pro accept two nano-SIM cards, but do not accept microSD cards.

These are the physical characteristics between the 3 phones. On the Software side, it runs the same through all 3 devices except some minor UI themes on the Huawei Porsche Design. Will elaborate more about the device when I got the time

Huawei Watch

Dudes..here I got some tips about Huawei Watch. Saw a lot of reviews about this watch. Really awesome eh…price also ok..I bought myself one haha. The feature really gooding! Ayam like the UI very much..have to say not expecting this from a Huawei..

Okay here it goes..Just small tips that im sure will benefit you guys! Read onzzzz!

Some of the common issues that happen during the pairing of the watch is:
Users cannot pair the watch with the phone. Users should check whether the phone has the Android Wear App installed on their phone. Users can get it by downloading from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. They should also check whether the phone has paired with another phone before. If users wish to pair it with a new phone, they should choose restore to factory settings on the Huawei Watch.

Another issue is Bluetooth connection not visible or won’t connect automatically. Users should ensure that the Android Wear App has been added to the “protected apps” list. Check whether any phone or power management apps are restricting Bluetooth access.

If you want to connect to iphone :
If the watch fails to pair or doesn't reconnect with an iPhone, restore the watch to its factory settings by:

Delete the Bluetooth info on iPhone:
Go to Settings > Bluetooth;
Find your watch Bluetooth name, touch the info icon on the right side of it.
Touch Forget This Device and then pair the watch with a new phone.

Bluetooth pairing process
To begin, open Bluetooth connection on the phone, launch the Android Wear App, then pair the phone with Huawei Watch according to the onscreen instructions.
1. Start up the watch and swipe left to page 4, it will show the pairing code.

2. Touch the same pairing code on the phone app.

3. Confirm the information then touch “pair”.

That’s it! Now you can enjoy using the Huawei Watch with your Iphone!

On The Go with The Nexus 6P

In recent years, the USB drive has become a primary mode on transfering files between hardwares. However not all Android devices are capable off & support the Micro USB drive. Fortunately, the Nexus 6P comes with the USB OTG(On The Go) feature.

Just to recap, the Nexus 6P comes with these specifications:
5.7-inch touch screen supporting auto rotation
2K AMOLED screen display
12 MP auto focus camera, supporting laser-assisted autofocus
Support 3 microphones with noise cancellation
Dual front-facing stereo speakers
Large capacity battery
Fingerprint solution
NFC
OTG function

USB On-The-Go is really just a micro USB cable that runs out to a female USB port. You plug it into your Nexus 6P, and it effectively gives your device a USB port. Now you can use a slew of different gadgets that weren’t necessarily designed with Android interface in mind.

There aren't really any establish instructions or information you can find for USB OTG. However you migh just grab & try the OTG with different devices for trial & error. To make it simpler, here are some of the things you could do with the USB OTG feature. Among it are using it as a card reader,transferring pictures or videos from your camera to your phone, connecting it to a keyboard, control your camera functions, mouse, hard drive, thumbdrive and ethernet adapters. But this also depends on the third party hardware manufacturer to enable the feature.

You just need to purchase a USB-OTG cable or a USB OTG adapter as this does not include with the device.

The Huawei P9 is by far the best smartphone by Huawei to date. All the nifty features included with a reasonable price makes it one of the best high spec range smartphone in current market. It is fully pack with a dual setup Leica camera; one in color mode & the other captures in monochrome, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal memory, its home grown HiSilicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor & a hefty 3000mAh lithium ion battery . The phone’s nippy performance, robust build quality, and solid battery life mean it will meet most users’ needs.

When it comes to battery, 2 questions will pop up on everybody’s mind. How long will the battery last & how long can the battery can be quickly charge? For the later, even though the P9 only comes with a standard 5v2A charger, it does supports quick charging function. Fast charging means you can plug in your handset and get up to a suitable amount of juice much quicker. For phones with average battery life this can be a savior to power users. With this feature, users can charge the P9 from empty to full less than 2 hours .

The secret behind this is the P9’s HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset that allows fast charging capabilities. To enable fast charging, one has to use a 9v2A charger ; that comes with its big brother the P9 Plus. One can opt to use the 9v2A by the P9 Plus or you can purchase the original fast charger by Huawei. Do take note that you should only use Huawei original & certified quick charger to use with your P9 as recommended by Huawei.

The current P9 family also includes its younger sibling that is the P9 Lite. The P9 Lite does inherit a few technological advancement from the former. Features include a 13Mp camera, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal Memory, HiSilicon Kirin 650 Octa Core & 3000mAh battery . The Kirin 650 chipset used in the Huawei P9 lite is built on a 16nm FinFET process, same as HiSilicon's flagship 955 chipset.

The most impressive feature by the mid-range smartphone is the enormous 3000mAh battery3000mAh battery. The battery life is great thanks to its efficient hardware. Unlike its bigger sibling, the P9 lite doesn’t support fast charging. The charger that comes together is a 5v1A . For normal charging, it will take around 3 hours for a full charge. The battery capacity is more than enough for day to day usage for a mid-range smartphone.
