Center speaker sound robot

Hi guys, I have a weird problem that need some expert advice.

Recently I just bought a cheap optical cable to connect the audio from Egreat R1-ii to SONY BDV-E4100 (HITB). I have configured the Media player SPDIF out to Raw, and manage to get surround.
When come to DTS some files manage to get it normal, some will get ‘robot sound’ on center channel only. This is weird, all other 4 channel sound normal. Not all movie behave like that. I do understand is DTS HD it will get as DTS core.
My assumption is either can decode or not only, don’t understand why only on center speaker and on certain movie only.
When come to TrueHD/Atmos, it shows ‘unknown audio format’ on my Media player. Before I plug in Optical cable the output LPCM it will still able to output to stereo sound. After plug in, it become can’t read the audio format even I configure back to LPCM.

My Pioneer HTIB HTZ 280DVD out today which served me well for the past 12 years. Today power up, keep blink ‘SUB COM’, suspect motherboard gone. In fact, since last year the Tuner start have some issue keep having disturb like someone knocking on some channel.

Any recommendation which similar to this sound quality? Understand that AVR is much better. I more on playing MP3 song, and Movie on weekend, however my family used to listen to FM radio on day time which quite long hours. So power consumption become a concern for me. Is that ok for the AVR on Tuner from morning to evening? My current Pioneer only used 55W.

Any good suggestion for me? What option I have for 1k +? or worth to repair?

Engine vibration

I’m driving 5 years old Persona, and have use Petronas Syntium Semi since day 1, and for the past one year change to Shell HX7 Semi for 5W-30. The engine is very smooth and quiet, just when high rpm feel a bit thin. Anyway I hardly press the pedal hard.

Recently one of the workshop recommend Idemitsu. I Google around, this oil Fully Synthetic review not bad. So, I’m trying for the Semi 5W-30.

First feel is this oil is slightly ticker than Shell, even both is same 5W-30. After a month of trying, I feel that even the driver seat can feel the vibration obviously. Not very serious, but I would say not comfortable.

Is a waste if I want to change it again…

During that service, they have remove the timing belt and adjust. Will this caused the vibration?

Anyone can advice on this?
WD Green only work at same device?

I have 2 WD 1TB, one is Blue, and another is Green. I bought the External Harddisk dock to install and connect through USB connection.

The weird scenario is, I have formatted both hdd direct connect to the same pc running on win7 before install at the External Harddisk USB casing. After format, I load in some data for testing.
When I install both hdd in the external casing, only WD Blue can direct read the data content, and the WD Green unreadable, need to be format!

So, I have formatted the hdd at the external casing, and again copy some data in, then right after I take the hdd out, direct hook at the CPU SATA, again the hdd need to be format!

Another testing, I put in Seagate hdd, no problem, direct plug and play.

It seems like WD Green have to be formatted and use under the same device, if I take the hdd out connect to another device, it seems not working.

Anyone have this experience or comment?

Thanks
Pioneer HTZ Tuner back to 87.5MHz

I have a Pioneer HTZ-280 unit, everything is working fine, just one thing I can’t understand. Every time when I on the unit (after switch off the electric), if I go to Tuner, the FM frequency is always stay at 87.5MHz, even though I already preset it. so I must have another step to press ‘1’ or ‘2’ to go to my preset station. The unit itself can memories my last source like if my last power off is at DVD, when I on, it will be back to DVD, but why the Tuner is always stay at 87.5 MHz? instead of my last listening station?

Is my setup problem or is the Pioneer design? Anyone have any idea?

Ya, another thing, the Volume is also always back to Zero, if I power on switch off the electric.

Is not a big issue, but just want to find out the answer...

LCD Monitor Need Driver?

Dear All, need some advice,

I'm using Elsa Gladiac 511 MX400/64MB GC. All the while was runing on 17' Samsung CRT. Now the CRT Monitor was getting blur, i guess is the end for the Monitor life spam.

The problem is when I check my current resolution max is reach 1280 X 1024, and current market is all selling Wide LCD. As I understand this resolution is for 4:3 17' LCD only.

I have update my latest GC driver, max resolution still did not change, so does it need the LCD driver in order to get a higher resolution? or just my card didn't support that high resolution.

I worry after getting a Wide 16:9 LCD, my GC not support, then gotto change GC again....

Thanks in advanced
