Shopee Vouchers All Gone

Anyone noticed their vouchers just disappeared? I don't seem to have any cashback vouchers (platinum account). I just checked on my other phone with a new account and there's loads of vouchers to use. Even my brother's platinum account is the same - no vouchers but if he makes a classic account, it's full of vouchers.

Claim Windscreen Insurance

So when I bought my VW (secondhand), the dealer had put 2k windscreen insurance and I renewed it every year. Last year windscreen cracked so when I went to replace, the shop told me 2k not enough to put original, they put oem china. Not even a week later it cracked so I waited till May this year (renew insurance to 4k). Now I want to replace to original, I asked 3 different shops they said this is oem china, cannot put back original.

Is it true that once you change to china, cannot replace back with original even if you top up insurance?

Theft Among Lalamove Riders

Has anyone had issues with lalamove recently? In the past 3 months, this is the third time my order has been stolen. It's mostly by the newer riders who only have a few orders before collecting my order.

Of course like any other gig economy company, the app itself strays away from responsibility. Their support will make you jump thru hoops, asking you to fill up a Google forms complain form. For the previous two issues, after 14 days all they replied was they are still investigating it.

I took it as water under the bridge, and then it happened yesterday ss well. It seems like the riders are not screened at all, always using different motor numbers and profiles. Of course it's a wonderful service if you need something to be delivered but if anything happens to your package, don't expect lalamove to be of any help.

Definitely a very small number, I do multiple orders a day just to put it into perspective

Fastest Insurance Renewal?

So here's the thing, I bought insurance from Shopee before it expired. However after they sent the cover note, they cancelled the policy and said according to their system my id number is different.

I sent them my previous cover note to show it's the same. They haven't replied to me, even after calling them, they said it'd take 5 days to investigate. My insurance is now expired and my money (almost 3k) is held by shopee. We all know what's shopee customer support like - non existent.

Anyway I thought ill get insurance elsewhere, but like myeg is RM 600 more expensive than shopee, does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy car insurance which can process it ASAP?

Problem with UniFi After Upgrade

Hey Guys,

About two months ago UniFi sent me an e-mail saying they'd be upgrading my 50mbit connection to 100mbit for free if I signed a new contract and I did.

Along with this, they sent a new router (AC1200) and after the new router has being installed, I have being having tons of problems.

Every 30 minutes or so, the connection just drops, wifi is connected but nothing loads for 1-2 minutes until it's up again. Before the router was changed, I never had such issues but it's so annoying and I can't take it.

I tried calling TM but they told me they would charge me for the technician to come down to check so I was wondering if I could get another router to replace the tplink ac1200? I tried connecting another router to the tplink router but connection drops on there too. I thought of putting in another router directly to the modem and if I could put in my TM login details, would that work?

Also, any router recommendations? At one time, there's a maximum of 5-6 devices connected to the router.

Scammed by Coca Cola's Sub Con - Need Some Advice

Hi guys,

I own a small mini market in johor bahru which is family ran and only has one staff.

Like most mini markets, I too have a coca cola display cooler and when I had gone for a short vacation, the cooler broke down. Since I wasn't around, I had told my brother to give a call to the coca cola hotline to report the issue. Previous to this day, the only one to call the hotline from my store was me and the contact number I provided was mine. This time around, my brother provided his contact number so that I don't incur any roaming charges when I'm not around. The report was created and there is a lead time of within 48 hours that a technician would come down to fix it.

Fast forward to the next day, a technician came down and told us that we had made a report yesterday and he's attending to that. He opened up the cooler and said the compressor needs to be changed and he will get his stuff. A short while later he comes back and says his van has broken down and has parked it at a workshop and it costs around RM400 to repair it. I wasn't around and my brother had gone out for lunch so the cashier came him a call and my brother told the technician we do not know who you are and we cannot give you the money. He provided us a number saying that's his supervisor and the supervisor said to pass him the money and he would settle this with him.

The technician said he will go and get his van and come to repair the cooler but instead disappeared and his number was no longer available. The next day we spoke to coca cola and they said that was a sub contractor and referred us to speak to the boss of the sub contract company and my brother did.

At the initial call this person acknowledged that person was an ex worker and requested for cctv which my brother provided. After a day or two he said we shouldn't have paid him and my brother explained to him there's a leak in the company as how could they know my brother's name and contact number and turn up just the day after the report was created. The boss acknowledged the issue and said he will reimburse the RM400.

I waited for a couple of days and I asked him what happened and he asked for my account number. Every few days I'd message him asking when would he make the transfer and he said he will do it on that day and then would go MIA again. Finally one day he messages me saying he's not going to pay the money and advices me to make a police report, almost 3 weeks after the incident.

I spoke to the sales lady for coca cola and she said this isn't the only case and another outlet suffered the same faith.

I'm really confused on what should I do now as this is an obvious violation of the privacy protection act as these details have been leaked. I was hoping someone could advise what should I do!

Netflix not working on UniFi today?

Since two hours I have being trying to use the Netflix app on both my iPhone and android device.

Via unifi it doesn't load and says no Internet connection but when I turn off WiFi, using Digi it works fine.

I even tried changing dns but it still doesn't work. Anyone else having issues on unifi today?

Second Hand Car Loan

So basically I saw a car I was interested in online, it's around 50k. I have 10k cash and was wondering if the rest would be applicable for loan? I am a foreigner working at a managerial position. (Salary ~9k/mo).

How easy/hard is it to get such a loan? Would prefer something like 24 months only.

How is Prison Like?

Sooo, long story short, I was stupid and might have committed a crime. It's a small crime and it will get compounded (civil, not criminal) but that just got me to think - how are the conditions of prison like? Is it the same as lock up (locked up in one small room with 20 odd people) or you can roam around like per say there are activities you can do? The 4 days I was in lock up was really bad because all you can do is just sit one corner and talk since it's just a small room and you can't leave.

Edit: Jut wanted to clarify I am not going to prison, I just made this thread out of curiosity.
