How much to move and tune an upright piano?

I'm interested to buy a used piano from someone's home (not a reseller), but I have to bear the cost of moving it to my home. Does anyone know how much it cost nowadays to move an upright piano and have it tuned after it's moved?

I'm interested to buy a reconditioned upright (something like Yamaha U1 or U3). But I'm concerned whether it makes sense to buy one now since I live in an apartment.
I usually practice at night with my Yamaha P45, but because it's a digital piano, it's not an issue, just lower the volume.
On reddit I see a lot of people say it's a bad idea. But I want to ask here instead of because I know reddit is US demographic, and over there their apartment tend to use plasterboard.
I live in apartment with concrete walls (can't even use nails, need to use rotary hammer just to hang a picture lol), so maybe it's doable?

As to why I'm upgrading, I just want to splurge to a better piano with better action as I plan to play more classical music (like Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, etc).
I looked at the price of better digital pianos (like Yamaha CLP725-CLP745), but it's way more expensive that I can just buy a used upright with the same amount of money.

Digital piano technician in KV area

I bought a used Yamaha P-45 few months ago. It's pretty old, like 5+ years old.
It worked fine all this while, but last week the electronic started misbehaving where the piano thinks the function key is always pressed, even though it's not. For example, if I press E4 key, it will turn on the metronome instead of playing the note. Basically the piano is unplayable. Can't even use it as a midi keyboard.
I tried so many things, from doing factory reset by holding down C8 while powering on, to leaving the piano unplugged for few days, and also tried to disassembling it, cleaning some dust from the board, then reassembling. So the only thing left to do is send it to a technician. Anyone know any reputable digital piano technician in KV area?

Update: Nvm I managed to fix it myself. The issue is with the function switch, it's malfunctioning. I don't really use the function key, so I just desoldered it.

The return policy on the right mentions that "Don’t want item or it doesn’t suit me" return reason is applicable. I'm not 100% sure that Lazada will honor this though. Just in case if the vacuum is not up to my expectation. Has anyone managed to return something using this policy (change of mind)?

Water bill very high suddenly

I live in an apartment in Selangor. My water bill every month is less than RM10. But for the past 2 months, it jumped to more than RM100 per month.
I don't see any water leak anywhere in my house, so I have no idea what's causing this huge increase. Could it be caused by something outside my house, e.g. meter? Any ideas?

ABRSM vs Trinity for classical guitar

There's an item I wish to buy used, but it's really hard to find on Carousell MY. But on Carousell SG, I can easily find 4-5 of it being listed.
I'm wondering, has anyone every bought from a seller on Carousell SG, and has the item shipped to MY? I understand it's risky, but based on my experience with Carousell, so far if the seller has good reviews, the risk of getting conned is low. So I'm thinking of taking the risk.
Also, how much does it cost to ship from SG to MY for a small item that's less than 1kg?

Where to buy power tubes and preamp tubes locally?

This is my first time in this forum. I decided to ask here instead of the Musicians forum because I figure you guys would know better.
Where can I buy power tubes and preamp tubes locally? I just bought a used Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and I think the tubes need to be changed. It comes with a pair of 6L6 power tubes, and 3 12AX7 preamp tubes.
After searching online (Lazada, Shopee, Google), I can only find Electro Harmonix tubes (e.g. 6L6, 12AT7). Are there any local stores selling other brands of tubes so I have more options to explore?

I'm a noob in the process of buying a used Yamaha FG700S from someone as my first acoustic guitar (I've only played like a few weeks with a guitar I borrowed from a friend). The guitar is almost 10-years old, and the person I'm buying it from does not play the guitar (the guitar belongs to his sister). So most probably the guitar will need to be set up first before I can play it (e.g. change strings, tuning, setting up the action, etc.)

Is there a recommended guitar shop in Klang Valley where I can bring my guitar to have it set up for a reasonable price? Also how much do people usually charge for this kind of service?

DIY remove tile skirting

My apartment comes with typical tile wall skirting (refer attachment). How difficult is it to remove this myself with damaging the floor tiles? Just smash it with a hammer or use rotary hammer? Or is there a proper technique to it?

Bsically I'm planning to put vinyl floor on top of the existing tiles, and replace the tile skirting with pvc/wood skirting that matches the vinyl floor.

Recommended SATAIII SSD for general upgrade

I'm planning to start a laptop/computer repair service from home, mostly for my neighbors. I've received some requests, which are mostly people complaining their laptop is slow. From my experience, the most cost effective way of speeding up a laptop is to just replace the HDD with an SSD. But I'm not sure which SSD to use for the upgrade. I personally am using Samsung 860 EVO, but it's a bit expensive (RM200 for 250GB) for those who don't really care which specific brand is better and just want a fast laptop for the lowest price. Any suggestions? And is there a place I can buy the SSD in bulk for a cheaper price per unit?

Applying for Masters in US with Bachelors from MY

I'm thinking of applying to OMSCS, which is a fully-online MS in Computer Science offered by Georgia Tech. It's also quite affordable, as the whole program costs around $7k (roughly RM30k).

I have a CS degree from local university. However, Georgia Tech requires that I have a degree equivalent to a US 4-year degree. As you know, Malaysia education system is similar to UK, so bachelors degree is usually only 3 years (so is mine). I contacted them, and they said that my degree will not be recognized as it's only 3 years.

Any ideas how to get my degree to be equivalent to a 4-year US degree? Take extra courses?

Planning to work in Germany as IT professional

Anyone has experience working in Germany as IT professional (e.g. programmer)? I'm currently in the process of finding a job in Berlin, and I have started interviewing with some companies. However there is a minor roadblock with getting a visa to work there because my university degree is not recognized in Germany.

From what I understand so far, there are 2 types of working visa in Germany:

1. EU Blue card. This is the visa which requires a recognized degree in Germany. Apparently my degree is not recognized in Germany, so it's a bit difficult. I first have to apply for my degree to be evaluated, which costs time and money, and there is a possibility they will reject the application. This is the preferred visa because it's cheaper, lasts 4 years the first time, and after certain amount of time you can actually work anywhere in EU.

2. Employment visa (aka work permit). So far I checked, this visa does not require a recognized degree, as long as you have a degree. But the process is more strict because they will first need to check that I'm not competing with the locals for the job. Also it's more expensive because the visa is shorter and has to be renewed regularly.

Anyone had the same problem before? Did you manage to get your university degree, which was unrecognized, to become recognized in Germany and successfully apply for EU Blue Card?

What happens to credit card debt upon death

I have a few credit cards which I use regularly every month. It's not exactly debt, because I always pay the full statement balance every month and has never carried a balance.
But I'm curious what happens upon my death? Does my wife (or next-of-kin) needs to pay them off on my behalf? Or the bank will automatically claim it from my estate, and my wife (or next-of-kin) doesn't need to do anything?

Basically you pay online @ Lazada, and they will contact you later and arrange the installation at one of their installers. I checked with them and there's an installer within less than 5km from my house.

Career path of credit control exec

I'm asking this on behalf of my wife. She has an accounting degree from UiTM. She has been working for around 5–6 years in small companies, starting from tax (1 year), then moved to full set accounting (2 years), then became credit control executive (2 years until now). She enjoys being a credit control exec (it's really stressful job, but I have no idea why she enjoys the stress), and has recently been promoted to the head of credit control department at a small company that's about to go public.

I'm just wondering, what is the career path as a credit control exec? As in, where will she be in the next, say, 10 years?
Also, is it worth it if she get MIA membership in terms of bumping up her salary?
