Counter offer / New offer

Dear Sifus,

My story is as follow. Sorry for long story but I tried to give more details to give a clearer picture.I have received an offer 2 months ago and I am now 2 weeks to go to my last day. When I submit my resignation letter, my boss immediately tried to counter offer me but I have turned it down. Now, they are trying to counter offer me with a even better offer.

Counter Offer :
Big listed local company which is growth rapidly, stable and does not seems to close down in at least 10 years time. Lower salary of RM1,000 but can off work on time. Very flexible as boss just want works to be done. Near to place of living.

Current Offer :
Kilang kicap that produce suspected low quality product. Higher salary with good position at top management. Works 6 days a week and need to travel 1 hour from workplace to home everyday. Working time is not flexible even tho it is top management position.

Looking for insights on this, sifus.

HR blocked career progression

Hi all,

I wonder if someone every encounter this. Please advise accordingly.The situation is like this

There is an internal opportunity which posted by HR. I got my support from my boss and also the boss for the position posted. Now HR is the middle person that say u cannot apply for the job. Bla bla bla by creating tons of excuse that don't let me to have the move.

Anyway to solve this issue?

Note:
1. my company hr is strong. A no from them means no for all opportunity.

2. I am a top performer for past 2 years. It's not even promotion but lateral move.

Which path to choose

I am a manufacturing manager with 2 years of experience. Currently 26 years old. I have been given 2 opportunities now to choose on

1) go to the finance laterally and learn about how the whole business work. Which I think is a good move as people with manufacturing are lacking of finance background.

2) continue with current post as there are few millions project in manufacturing which will help me to gain more bigger experience in manufacturing.

Both seems to be nice. Which one should I choose?

I really feel lost now because of my gf. I know most of you will ask me to leave but let's see what happened now.

1. Gf always like to say this. I don't even want to marry or get a bf. You know this since the beginning where we start to argue. When I say I want to marry her in the future.

2. She is attached. Honestly speaking I feel that she always want me to be beside her or constantly talking to her. For example. Even when we date and I check phone or my watch. She will get mad because she say I am rushing to go home.

3. She hope I am the same with her. Don't need to take rest. I am a early person. I sleep around 12am everyday. She sleeps at 3 or 4am. She insist me to text with her until 1 or 2am. Then only she is happy. If not she will be angry with me.

4. For me, I will prioritize my work than her as while working. I will reply her message once every half to 1 hour. But she can instant reply. So she think that I do not love her.

How can I proceed? I don't feel like dumping her as she is one of the best gf I have. But her attitude really make me mad.

Hi all lowyat member, I am in serious dilemma and i think i have been used as a "spare tire". Now i need to wake up from this stupid dream.
Let the story begin

I met this girl via online, facebook i mean. Like what most guy do, add then chat then bla bla bla.
I know her for half year already, there are few ways she treat me like what i feel, i am being used as spare tire

1. When i message her, she dont bother to reply / short reply. Then when free time like weekend, she keep mesanging me
2. I ajak her for movie need 10 time baru come out. In between that, she just threaten me like " I dont wanna go out with u already, then ask me to pujuk her"
3. She went out with other guy and dont tell me. At the end she told me she got no boyfriend.
4. If outing, I need to prepare everything. Like movie, where to makan, fetch her, and everything. She tell me she is ready to enjoy and eat only. not going to plan anything. but she demand la like i want to eat high class food, movie seating cannot in front la, bla bla bla

That why i feel like I a being treated like a fool.

Should i still invest my time and money on her or i should go with other options (i mean go find another one for myself)
