Why Malaysian Car Culture So Funny

Hi Guys,

As per title, why so funny leh. Story abit, so I just came back from living in the UK for 2.5 years. I'm a big car guy, so over there I got to experience a very different car culture than here in Malaysia. My car history:
1. Satria Neo - Sold (MY)
2. Inspira - Sold (MY)
3. Toyota Camry - Sold (MY)
4. Citreon DS3 - Sold (UK)
5. Abarth 595 - Lease(UK)
4. C200 - Sold (MY)
5. 428i - Current (MY)

As you can see, i clearly don't give a rats %$# about brand, never have, never did. Drive what you love, love what you drive. It really shocked to come back and see that large majority of car culture in Malaysia is very judgmental & like to pass comments. At work people don't expect me to have experienced so many cars as I'm only 26, and for most of the time I just keep quiet (fly high, lay low). I have to hear people who drive Mazda 2/3, Honda City/Civic, Kia Cerato (Cars below 120k mark) always have to pass comment on cheaper cars. This is a very strange practice for me & personally i find it really ridiculous as all the rich families I know own a Perodua lol. I don't see what the brand has to do with the value/usability of the car.

It even happens on expensive cars. Example, 50y/o man drive A45 in UK is normal, in Malaysia its considered malu cause its a hatchback? Thats very strange, cause when a 20+y/o drives an A45 they will then say spoilt kid. What fuels this mentality ah? Would love to hear some LYN 2cent. Wasnt thinking of posting this as people may whack a 26y/o who drives nice cars, but I sien already lol

*PS: Yes I know not everyone is like that.

Best Router for UNIFI 100mbps

Hey Guys,

As per title. My unifi router something wrong already, used to be able to connect to 5ghz frequency and download at 30mbps. Now the 5ghz doesnt exist anymore and the regular connection only downloads at 2mbps :rofl: . Think internal components burned out.

Anybody got a recommendation for a suitable router for UNIFI's 100mbps service? Gonna buy today, too sien already. Cheers guys
