Hi guys,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 runs on Core 2 Duo with Intel GMA graphics chip. Recently, weird things occur
1) battery would not charge
2) when press power button, it boots around few secs in POST then shut down.. afterwards cannot start at all
3) but adapter from compatible laptop works
4) battery charge on other 1420s

So i've phoned Dell regardin this prob, they offer me 2 choices:
1) replace mobo. RM1.4k
2) renew warranty RM900

My question is, is it really due to the mobo problem? or is just because of the adapter socket on the laptop damaged?

My brother's car was stolen this morning off his usual public parking lot in Pelangi Damansara. His car is a 50th Merdeka Version Proton Saga registered MBN 1885. He already made a police report.

The car has a major dent on the rear left side (near fuel cap).

LYNians, pls help me to keep an eye for this car. And LYNians urself oso becareful of ur own car.

[WTA] Biostar TP43HP v5.0 Problems

Hi guys.. i ran out of ideas, need some feedback from LYN sifuss..

I'm running on a e6750 cooled via AC Freezer 7.. 1pair of ballistix and 1pair of ballistix tracer (both ddr2-800)... recently, my windows 7 64bit keep freezes, even when playing game oso.. finally it ends up the PC cannot start at all.. keep appearing the Windows Recovery screen.. and cannot recover at all.. here's the steps i have been tru'

1) downclock my eVGA 8800GT to ori configuration.. freezes
2) downclock proc n ram.. freezes
3) change HDD sata port.. freezes
4) change dimm slots.. freezes
5) memtest.. pass everything.. yet freezes
6) memtest(via BIOS).. pass everything.. yet freezes
7) OCCT.. pass everything.. yet freezes
8) try re-seating the GC.. freezes
9) connect HDD into another PC.. works fine.. can explore all the folders.. freezes

so then i decided to reformat the OS.. but...

1) all ram in dimm slots.. stuck at the "Starting windows" screen, installation is complete though.. format 3 times again, still same..
2) interchange dimm slots with all pair of rams.. stuck as above
3) 1pair ballistix on 1st pair of dimm.. boot
4) 1pair ballistix on 2nd pair of dimm.. boot
5) 1pair tracer on 1st pair of dimm.. boot
6) 1pair tracer on 2nd pair of dimm.. boot
7) with all rams back into dimm slots again... it boots...

pls lead me out of the darkness.. thank you all in advance..

Windows XP freezes

hi guys.. i recently upgraded my BIOS to version 16 on my abit ip35-e.. but soon after that... the windows hangs whenever i do MEMTest and Orthos.. even with the mildest OC... 3.2GHz (e6750 on AC Freezer 7 Pro) on 1:1 ratio with ballistix ddr2 800MHz.. but this settings run perfectly well on my previous BIOS (ver 15)

i tried going back to the old bios (ver 15), the problem persists...

any ideas guys?

Receiving calls hang up "prematurely"

I'm a digi user with a nokia 6300..

all my receiving calls hang up automatically after ringing just for a while.. this happens when i'm using Samsung X460 too.. i tried swapping sim card with my bro(digi user too, nokia 6630) but there's nothing wrong, the nokia 6300 rings very long..

is this because of the sim card? i'm using digi prepaid plus card whereas my bro is the yellow card with DIGI word only at the back.. please help... thanks in advance
